Dear god...civil discussion, everybody run and grab your pitchforks, there be evil afoot. Anyway, did the article say there would be a CG movie? Like we talkin Halo Wars level cinematic (they were gorgeous) or in-game cinematic.
Haha, COD has been doing this starting with MW2. EDIT: Somewhere at the beginning of this thread i said I hoped Halo 4 would not be Halo: Reach 2. Apparently it is.
It didn't say, it just said that there would be a CG movie each week, along with 5 new missions that have changeable difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Heroic, Legendary). They said little else about it, except that I'm pretty sure that no matter when you join, you can replay all the missions and view all the released CG. At least they said: "Those who join late can easily catch up".
I like CG movies. The Spec Ops things sounds unbelievably awesome. *squeels uncontrollably like a fan girl* Omg, Halo 4 is gonna be sooooooooo AWESOME! Seriously guys... I am stoked about that little bit. It does sound awesome. But it doesn't make me any more willing to slobber 343i's nobb...
You need to take that stick out of your ass. Pac was right, with you, it's either: "**** 343, HALO ****ING SUCKS NAO WA WA WA" or "I WANT TO SUCK 343's ****!" Apparently, we can't be in the middle. Jesus christ.
My big question is... Will this really be a unique campaign of sorts? Will we be getting 5 new maps/environments every week to play on? Seems like a bit much if you ask me... Especially considering its expected to go on for a couple of months at least...
i don't understand the double standard some people seem to have. they bash cod for turning out the exact same game every year, but then get pissed when halo tries to change it's formula up a bit and freak out and ***** about it. not necessarily anyone here, but i know a good amount people who do that, as well as on other sites.
I'd rather have just one mission a week and it be something that you do with your friends on Saturday night for a few months rather than there being five missions a week for only a month and a half. Not sure if I'm doing a good job explaining it, but I think 5 missions per week is a little too much work for them to keep up and also a little too much for us to digest and enjoy on a weekly basis
I don't think it's working like that. The missions are almost definitely going to be pretty short, you could probably do all 5 in an hour or so. I'm not sure where people are getting the impression that the missions are going to be campaign length: They'll probably be MP match length. On top of that, I think it was said already that the missions and CG will stay there and be replayable, so you CAN sit down on a saturday nigh with some friends. And they never said it'll only be a month and a half, they said they don't plan on the Spartan Ops content expiring any time soon, so it'll probably keep running until Halo 5 comes out. They just said they ALREADY have a month and a half worth of content planned. You need to read that article again.
That's actually what I was thinking of would be like a weekly challenge for reach but well not a challenge and it DOSENT expire Btw anyone know what halo 4 is running in terms of frames per second(hope its more than reach to increase forge capabilities)
Reach ran at 30, right? If so, then probably 30. I can't remember what Reach ran though, but I couldn't imagine it being much higher when I THINK they're running off the same modified engine. Think.
That's not something people will know until the game comes out. That's far too specific a detail to be given in publications and might only come out if a fan directly asks 343 in one of the waypoint bulletins. I'd assume 60 fps as most games with an involved multiplayer run at now-a-days.
That makes sense because I heard they were doing a modified engine as well i think reach ran at 32 idk seems close enough to me but I was hopeful Edit reach was at 30 halo 4 will be at thirty but with increased resolution just looked it up
If you're understanding of it is more accurate, which is very likely, then I'm a lot less excited for this
I bet I can make you squeal louder. ANYWAY... I don't care about all this rubbish about Halo 4 not being what Halo is all about. I'm going to give 343 the benefit of the doubt and buy H4 anyway, no matter what they include. I don't care what changes they make as long as it says somewhere within the realms of keeping the game from becoming a carbon-copy of the generic shooter these days. I enjoyed vanilla Reach. I like TU Reach more. I liked the concept behind AA's, I just feel it was implemented badly. MLG have sorta the right idea by making them pick-ups (not sure if they still do). I also expect everyone who disagrees with my opinion to jump on me like a cloud of flies but let me tell you this: I will not and will never change my opinion or force mine on anyone else. I have my own hopes for this game and to be honest, I like most of what I've seen so far. Also, I wish people would stop making wild assumptions based from nothing but rumour. I'm sure we've all read Frankie's pre-GI post about the leak and you should all calm your **** a little longer and wait for some solid facts to come out before you start shooting down the ideas of (in my eyes) a very new company to this sort of thing. 343 are new to all this, it's their first solo game and while they may have like half the Bungie team with them they're probably still working out the kinks in the company. Final fact: Games are made to do nothing more than make money. Accept that you won't always get what you want and move on.
Pretty positive that the game is gonna run at 30 FPS again... For some reason I coulda sworn that it was posted at GAF...
