The notion that Halo4 will still be enjoyable with custom settings is not enough for me... If this is what vanilla settings in H4 will be, I'll pass on it. What a **** day.
Not impressed, this kinda seems like that one shitty christmas present you get, but you still try and be thankful for it even though it's terrible. All of the changes that have been pointed out already makes it very hard for me to keep my chin up. They didn't say anything about forge in that whole article, not even a hint. That scares me. For those of you that are trying to keep your hopes up, don't kid yourself. All of us know what we we didn't wanna see in H4, and to be honest, most of those things were happily brought back in the article i just read
Agreed, this is definitely worrying. I seem to remember Frankie saying a while back that fans wouldn't see any game modes axed or something like that, and I took that as a safe indication of theatre, forge and FF remaining. Now it seems that we don't have FF, which I'm personally not fussed about (though I know many will be), but it sets a precedent.
Frankie totally sold out. Remember the creative director who quit because he didn't like where the project was going? If they are ditching proper halo multiplayer, I see no reason why they would keep in forge. Part of forging maps is that you can direct flow around maps, and set specific areas for weapon placement deliberatly. If people can spawn in with better and better stuff (cod) then it kills that idea, and most likely placeable weapons full stop. If weapons are randomly placed, then that will too hurt the idea of making maps in the first place, if they are able to be placed outside the map. That seems so as 343 seem to be claiming that weapons can drop anywhere and everywhere.
Just like everyone else, I can't say I'm too pleased about most of these things. But being a true halo fan, I'll have to adapt to the changes. You would think that after all the **** Reach got, 343 would go back to H2-H3 style play. I wonder what they're thinking right now as they read all these comments and literally every single one is negative in some way.

Here here. Reach is fun in it's own way, and at least it doesn't stray too far from the Halo formula. Halo 4 looks like it's going too far from the others in my opinion, and it looks like they left the core gameplay I came to accept as Halo for a completely unoriginal modern formula. I think I'll put this on my 'rent for the story, forget the multiplayer ever existed' list. And Pegasi, that was awesome.
After watching the video, the "early GameInformer" started to seem more and more fake. It took 343 a year to show us what the in-game MC looked like, to tell us that there was a BR, and to tell us a tiny bit about multiplayer. All of a sudden, they drop 500 bombs on us and don't elaborate at all; that doesn't seem likely. If that fake GameInformer is false, it will probably pressure 343 to release more info than they normally would in order to disprove what everyone is raging over.
Oh, but guys... If 343i just gave us the same game that Halo always has been (HCE - H3), no one would buy it because the game has gotten old. The game needs to change to stay fresh. True Halo fans will still support it.
Did I miss some confirmation? Last night there were tons of theories, which seemed very plausible, disproving the GameInformer leak.
Change is good. Changing the core isn't. Too many people are saying that people are complaining about all the change. Is anybody that peeved over spartan ops being added? Not really, because its an addition that changes nothing outside of it. Is anybody peeved that the core game formula has changed, and what is supposed to be halo multiplayer is now a cod ripoff? God help us if the cod fanboys get wind of this.
