There was a second series of To-Love-Ru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST FIND.

She's not the teacher Asch, she's just another girly they fight alongside. She's a bit of a hard-ass but she's a bad-ass too. It's not inappropriate, it's only spanking. You can't see anything of anyone's nether regions in that scene.

I forgot to mention, episode 7 of the first series has a panty thief in it and it's funny as ****.

It's not so much the spanking that people will find a problem with, its the fact she pulled her panties off, then got spanked bare ass.

Some people are touchy with these kinds of things. Not me personally, but I know somewhere, someone is just itching to whine about it.

Darkness will technically be the third season of the series. The second season is called Motto To Love-Ru.

lol, has anybody seen Green Green? I finally came around to finishing it today and I can say it is the most ridiculous anime I've ever watched. It takes perversion to a whole new level.

So I don't really watch anime because of how time consuming it can be to watch just one anime, but I read A LOT of manga. When I say A LOT I really mean it. Somewhat hard to list my favorites because here you go

    Sora no Otoshimino
    The Breaker
    Tower of God
    God of High School
    Noblesse (my favorite hands down)
    Cage of Eden
    Id

    Here!

Sora, I'm also currently reading Cage of Eden. I would have stopped reading it, but I have to see that mystery unraveled before I die :p

I would talk about Manga but I don't feel I've read nearly enough to hold a conversation up regarding it. Anime on the other hand, I could talk about until someone killed me because I was getting annoying.

Aschur, there's going to be a live-action adaption to Another.

I haven't seen the anime nor am I into live-actions, but I thought I'd share if you haven't already heard about it.

As much as I liked Another, I'm going to put my foot down on this one, I don't think it would make a good Live action movie. It's just not something that strikes me as something that translates well to Live action. Especially with the level of grotesque deaths in it, its simply gonna be too hard to pull off a competent adaptation.

Gonna put it in spoilers if you don't want it spoiled:
Okay, the death where the girl dies from falling down the stairs and gets stabbed in the throat with her umbrella when she hits the landing, yeah... that probably won't happen in a live action adaptation...

I'm all for good adaptations such as Gantz, but when its something like Another, it'll be difficult. I could see a good Gundam adaptation happening before a good Another. I could REALLY see a good Steins Gate being done. But Another, not really. Also, at risk of sounding racist.. I'll say this, Another is a Guro Moe, so why in hell would they make a live action movie with ugly asians in those roles? I love asian chicks as much as the next guy, but ALL of the ones in J-horror movies are butt ugly. That trailer included.

Thanks for the news on that though. I did not know they even thought about doing that.

No problem. I would be willing to give the anime a shot, but I can't stand guro to a certain degree.

As for live-actions, I would love to see a Baccano adaption. I think it would translate well into a movie depending on the acting crew. I mean, the anime takes place in the US during the '20s, so an asian acting crew would be a little odd.

Hell yeah, their choice of who played Isaac and Miria would make or break my opinion of the movie though.

True. They would have to put the most thought into which actors would play their roles.

    Top 10 best written anime:

    1. Cowboy Bebop

    2. Porco Rosso

    3. Fooly Cooly

    4. Neon Genesis Evangelion

    5. The Castle of Cagliostro

    6. Akira

    7. Full Metal Alchemist

    8. Samurai Champloo

    9. Fruits Basket

    10. Azumanga Daioh

swap bebop and champloo's positions, change FMA to FMA brotherhood, remove Porco Rosso. Then it might make more sense.

samurai champloo being better written than bebop? whaaaat.

i love both of those series', but cowboy bebop as far as writing goes is superior to every animated ive seen. champloo is fun, but i dont think id include it anywhere on the list, especially not at number one.

if i made a list id most definitely have to include Spirited Away somewhere. really it would be all Miyazaki movies and bebop so it would be pointless. rofl.

If I were to make the list there wouldn't be any series based anime in it. Not because the writing is bad in series', but because it is more thought out and better in movies, imo.

I would throw in some works by Makoto Shinkai and Mamoru Hasoda. I'd add more Miyazaki to the concoction as well. Spirited Away or 5 Centimeters Per Second would be number one for me.

I agree, Porco Rosso shouldn't be in there. Compared to some of his other work that one is very meh, lol.

I've got nothing against Bebop, I just personally think Champloo did everything bebop did, but better.

Blasphemy. As great as Champloo was, I did not feel nearly as connected to the characters as I did in Bebop. All five of the main cast had mysterious pasts that were slowly revealed as the series continued, but not enough in any one episode to make watching them in order necessary unless it was a 2-parter. This aspect is one of my favorite about the show.

When Spike died, I felt for him. He was gone, but in the end that was what he wanted- to have the dream finally end. When Ed and Ein left the Bebop and this music,

    this

starts playing, I felt sad as hell. I almost cried, even. When Faye laid down in the ruins of what used to be her bedroom on Earth as her memories came flooding back, I felt some sense of connection and understanding. I could place myself in her shoes and empathize. She ended up actually being a very emotional, sensitive person masquerading as a hard-ass who didn't let anyone into her life due to being taken advantage of after being awoken from cryogenic stasis.

Now think about Champloo. I can't think of one moment that made me truly feel for the characters in that show. Not a single one. Jin was emotionless for the most part and his past wasn't very interesting. Mugen just wanted to fight everyone. Fuu was annoying and didn't really contribute much of anything to the story either IMO.

Honestly, you people think way too highly of Bebop, that's all there is to it. WAY too highly. I didn't get attached to EITHER shows characters, I simply think that Champloo did what Bebop did in a more interesting and flowing manner.

Also, if you look at the two; Champloo has an overarching story and plot behind all the little things that happen, Bebop... not so much. In Bebop their driving purpose is: get more money.

Not only does Champloo drive to a singular point as a goal, it also ties in actual people of historical significance into the mishaps along their journey, which fleshes out the era they live in that much more.

Also @Chuck, I didn't really mean that I would put Champloo at #1, but it would be higher than Bebop.
