Actually I only spent a day designing and building it. It was a whole day mind you so probably culminated as 10 solid hours of forging. I think I probably will make a version 2 because there are some issues with weapon spawning (due to the run-time maximum being higher then the number on the map) so for instance, way too many shotguns spawn over time. I might also fix the teleporter thing, simply because I want the aesthetics of the upside-down room to be perfect. I might also allow it to play other game types, such as 1 flag CTF, with the upside-down room as the attacking side and the small tilted room as the defensive side and have the twisted corridor blocked off to force play to go between the big room. It could also work well with oddball and stuff. So yeah, expect a version 2 sometime later tonight. If anyone has some small suggestions for improvement I will consider them. Things involving altering the current geometry are highly unlikely to happen.
wow, i had thought about this after seeing escher's drawings but dismissed it because of lack of dimensions. you proved me wrong. if you wouldn't mind i would like to make a map in the same style as this, only with permission of course
You divided by zero! I would DL it now, but my queue is filled with all of The MrJump's mazes. This is seriously awesome. ***note to self*** Do not drink before playing this map on Friday.
If you want to try some real mazes you should have a go at my puzzle maps, "Hell on Earth" and "Re on carnation", those will have you bemused for hours. Yeah sure, go ahead and make a map of the same style, I don't own a patent. ... yet...
These changes would make this map an all-time fav probably. Its close as it is, but a v2 might be necessary. This is by far the best tilted map ive seen to date though. Well done, I really hope you come out with an improved version. Keep it up
I don't think I've ever been so impressed upon loading up a map. buddhacrane this is very awesome, get a version 2 up this is pretty much a certain feature in my opinion.
The Teleporter in the upside down room isn't a two way is it? Shouldn't send you out side the map. Though if it i a way you could solve this is putting upside down reciever nodes directly underneath it. Merge them with the floor so you can't see them. Though it means that if anyone sees someone come out of that teleporter, it'll look like they came out of the ground. Alternatively you could try making them all sender nodes and placing reciever nodes inside them so it look like one node all together. Sender nodes upside down with reciever nodes the right way up. I'll give it a try when I get home from work and see if it works for you if you'de like.
I do agree with buddha when you play stickies you tink its going to fall on them but it hits the wall cuz of the angle DLed and will be the most used map in my arsenal

Hey Buddha, I'm from HIH, but I thought about posting it here because, well, it'd get much more dl's. This map is amazing. I am not kidding when I say I actually got a headache yesterday. Not only that, but it works well for actual playing. but then again, what else should I expect from the puzzle map man. My only problem is the teleporter. 5/5, this needs to be seen from bungie.
Lol thats funny, what i do it i go on top of the teleporters and wait there, when people get there they are like, where are the shooting from?
OK version 2 is now up, complete with upside down teleporter! Plus it now supports 1 Flag, 1 Bomb, King of the Hill, Oddball and Territories. More details in first post.
