Hello once again to all of you here on forgehub As some may have seen my previous attempt at savannah here is the long over due of my V2. It has changed quite considerably and I do apologise for the delay. I intended this for release many many months ago, But after losing my hard drive data I lost all but one map and luckily had this backed up else where. So what's new you may ask? ~Almost the entire ship (except the tail) ~New escape hatch ~New falcon cargo Bay ~Drop pods And a few others but I will let you all see them for your self. Here are some pictures not too many as I wished for it to reveal itself when played. Overall I'm happy with it sorry it took forever I hope you find it worthy of the wait, Please give feedback if possible as I am now working on a third version hopefully won't be as long as this to release in a Duo-Map pack so heres hoping! Anyway enjoy as intended I hope it brings as much fun in play as it did in creating it! Sweet Jesus! this map really blows me away, and the detail is amazing, though I have to say, it is a bit short. The rail cannon and the side "bars" (the ones made of wall corners) seem compressed to me. Also, the bridge seems to be placed too high (the top of the bridge should be slightly higher than the tip of the "wings" The bridge is actually composed of 2 sections, the bridge, that angles aft at approx 45*, and 2 side "plates" that angle (from the top) aft at 30*, then towards the bow at 45* should you make a V3 -Lengthen the MAC rails. (Not the muzzle, you replicated that well, just the barrel.) -Lengthen the bars forward into the (increased) MAC gap. -Place the plates on the bridge If you would like a reference picture, here is a good one:
I agree with you silentjacket this is the best UNSC Frigate I have ever seen. I Love artwork and how you have two hanger bays is awesome. Most of the UNSC Frigate's I've seen have a mac gun in the front mostly composed of a cause hog or a huge explosion that shoots something out the front. But the fact that you put an escape hatch that is a plus. The Scale is a Little small but I know that the bigger the scale the less detail. This is an Amazing Job you did. Your aquatint, Charles J. Couldn't agree more I knew from out it wasn't to size but I was looking to get a better shape the newer version will be ratio'd correctly i think it will be 1:10 the actual size this also allows me to get more accurate proportions throughout the entire ship but all is taken into note, I have only just started and already designed the front nozzle again this time using pieces that allow for better shape and not to make it bulk out to give me my desired look. It is shappy in places I was intending on re-doing this version but I fought I would allow it to be shared whilst I work on my newer projects, the problem I had with this was proportion and my initial skills but both have become better and with that should come more well designed maps. This is basically a half finished map and can easily be added to and adapted if people feel fit to use it as a template whilst I try to build the best U.N.S.C frigate I have ever built whether it all goes to plan is another thing. But its replies like this that give me a morale boost and also allows me to understand what the users want from it. Thanks for the fantastic feedback and I hope you enjoy the map. Thanks again yeah I agree on most points this wasn't the finished article but it gives me time to improve and allows me to gain better ideas and ways to make the map flow. Thanks I wanted to do something different having this allows for a game type to be introduced as it can lead to a multitude of things, I also wanted to add something to do with a hanger and it was what I could salvage from the money/parts I had that would fit. This may be so but still wouldn't mind a few opinions good or bad so I know what people are looking for as far as the design went on this map it was finished it was just the game mode that wasn't, thanks for you honesty and hopefully by the end of April the map will be finished. Thanks
