It's Beta. 1.6.6.

There will be updates once the game comes out, after a while. It apparently takes a long time since Microsoft limit the amount they can update the game.

Arcade and indie titles are hidden in the marketplace, for dev purposes. If you know what you are doing, you can get it early. Although the only good thing about playing with an xbox is using a controller. Which I can already do. PC>XBOX x100

Minecraft PC with a controller feels like crap.

The Jtagged version was leaked the best part of a month ago, but the textures and such don't look right.

Um... No? You can set your own controls with knowledge of keymaps. I also turn up the sensitivity. and Yes, its been out for awhile.

There's a release candidate version making its way around various modding communities right now, aswell. Everything looks and works right in this one, I've tested it myself... :p

Even with the sensitivity up and the keys mapped, the controls just don't feel right, they're too floaty.

You aren't the only one who plays (Or have tried, I can't stand it) with a controller.

I've done it with a controller. It wasn't bad or anything. But i'd prefer a mouse.

A few weeks ago I was talking to Chuck about how there should be upside-down stairs and a "soldier" mob to protect villagers, and the next day there's upside-down slabs and a few days later Iron Golems. Just last night I tell Chuck that you should be able to varnish wood to make it darker and then:

Close enough.

It's cool to see that the tutorial level is finally being put in. I remember back in alpha there was a button for it on the main menu, but you could never click it because Notch never made the tutorial level... lol

All my rage. Words do not describe...

I have no access to a credit/debit card, so if I want Microsoft Points, I buy them at Gamestop.

The smallest card is 1200 points, perfect for an arcade game. Right? Then it's 2100, then 4800.

Minecraft Xbox is 1600 awkward ass points, so I have to buy 2100 points, and be left with 500.
Xbox Live's Major Nelson » Announcing ‘Arcade Next’ :

Gawd damn.

I have a choice of 1400 or 2800. It's always been that way.

Just deal, brah.

Lucky for the US, our lazy fatasses can buy 1600 point cards for $20. It's okay Neo, you can buy some Minecraft avatar gear lol.

May ****ing 9th??? I am sorry but even Notch himself was stating that it would be out late March/early April. It's not that big of a deal but just don't say a date!

Considering Notch had **** all to do with the 360 development (Hell he had **** all to do with the PC development), I wouldn't pay too much attention to what Notch said.

minecraft on xbox 360. we know its not going to be 1.2.4... but how fat behind are they. 8 player single player world servers (or whatever u should call it) seems fun it will be good for people with small home networks but it cant compare to the full on servers like mining bros and goo. 20 bucks is alot and id be lying if i said i probably wasnt going to buy it. But it still cant beat having mods, texture packs and large groups.

I just hope u have to accept people entering your world. I could see a whole new style of grievers on XBLA. I feel like if i start playing mcx360 im just going to treat my world like a server world instead of how i would play a single player game on PC. I hope we get block protection for xbox at some point.
