Does anybody know exactly what these maps look like? Is there any pictures or gameplay footage?

Vice, What is end game? Is that the name of an up incoming BF3 map?

3 map packs have been announced for BF3. The first focuses on small maps and CQC, the second I believe focuses on vehicular play and (If im remembering correctly) the largest map for the BF franchise ever. The third last I knew was titled Endgame, and we know nothing more.

This is correct. Maybe Endgame involves the apocalypse and features nukes or something.

Some brief footage of a map in Close Quarters (team deathmatch):

The first gameplay trailer and screenshots from Battlefield 3: Close Quarters will come out next week.
No need to get hostile. Relax.

It's just that someone claiming to be a "true" fan is the only thing that pisses me off more than being told to relax.

I could not be called a battlefield veteran or anything like that, because I have only played the spin-off console titles. But in Bad Company 1 and 2, I had more fun on large maps like Harvest Day than small close quarters maps like Cold War. To me, much of what defines Battlefield are the huge outdoor battlefields, and so I am going to be disappointed when I see expansion packs consist of only maps that aren't those huge outdoor battlefields but instead more along the lines of those maps you see in Call of Duty.

Disagree with my opinion, that's fine.

I don't mind close quarters maps as long as there are big maps to play when I get bored. I like not having to flee from tanks in terror if I'm Assault or Recon.

That's why we should have maps that mix vehicle combat and infantry combat like Grand Bazaar and Strike at Karkand. Don't make maps that are infantry only, it's a ****ing Battlefield game after all.

On those types of maps the vehicles either dominate the map or are of no use at all. On Grand Bazaar, the IFVs are practically useless and on Karkand the tanks dominate the map.

I've never, ever, seen a tank dominate Karkand.

If you can't kill tanks in the tight corners on a map like that you're just bad.

No, but sometimes I want to be Assault or Recon and not have to run away at the sight of a tank.

Well maybe if you're getting destroyed by ranks you shouldn't use those classes.

Either have teammates that are Engineer/Support or switch to those classes until the tank(s) are destroyed. Then you can switch back.

Thats the problem with BF3. If you dont have your own squad to play with, its difficult to play the game. If I want to use assault, I want to use assault. Im not much of a fan of the engineer class, and I hate to be force to use it when a tank is causing havok and no one in my random squad or team is doing anything to stop it. You'll definitely need a friend who enjoys playing engineer class...
