Yea you pretty much had to try and put FRL in your map. You literally had to use the Ultimate Budget Glitch and place almost every piece to experience lag. I remember my Beaver Creek remake used a ton of pieces and it barely had flickering objects in literally one small area of the map. There was no actual lag though.
"I can state bluntly that we have made significant changes to the sandbox. Perhaps the most radical overhauls and additions it’s ever had in a single iteration. Fans should expect to see very new stuff. And not just weapons. As usual a couple of things will get deleted (or changed), but on balance, it will be more new stuff." This answer from 343i tells me they may have removed the glass from most objects.
Not really elite.. I don't think he was referring to forge. Even if he was talking about forge, how does that specifically tell you that glass was removed?
Why else would they mention they were changing some of the objects. They know glass causes FRL so why not remove it?
You can't really infer something that specific from a quote that is so vague. Anyways, someone tweeted a picture of a notebook with some h4 concept art. Link. Looks to be some sort of forerunner ship.
Wow that looks pretty cool. I think you're right, but it appears to be facing straight down. That's kinda odd. Where do you find this stuff cluckin?
I think it looks more like a statue or shrine. Edited by merge: I did some browsing and found this I'm wondering if this is a mod or some kind of secret weapon in the campaign or what.
@Elite That's just a modded halo 3. He's playing with the H3 HUD on longshore, a H3 map with H3 graphics
He wasn't even talking about forge, he was talking about the Halo sandbox - which means everything: weapons, vehicles, armor, gameplay mechanics, on and on. Basically he's saying that some stuff is new, some stuff is different from how it used to be, and some stuff that used to exist is gone (but probably nothing that people will get too worked up about). Comment had nothing to do with forge objects or glass.
I'm kind of skeptical about this one. The hud isn't Halo 3. Have you tried comparing it to the Halo 4 hud? They look almost exactly the same. You can hardly tell how good the graphics are and the mounted machine gun doesn't look like the Halo 3 one either. Im 50/50 on this one.
How I see armor effecting gameplay. Armour Attachments that slightly effect the game. Vision Headlight- Doesn't need explanation. Night Vision- Doesn't need explanation. Weaponry Grenade Belt- One extra grenade type can be held. Ammo Belt- Slight ammo boost. Close Quarter Assassins Knife- Plays speedier assassination animations making you less vulnerable. Technology Satellite Imagery- Shows you a small map stream with current location of power weapons and players at the expense of remaining stagnant for 5/10 seconds to load. Hacker- Disables other players armour attachments at the expense of remaining stagnant for 5/10 seconds to load. Movement Leg Augmentation- Sprint slightly faster. Jump Augmentation- Jump slightly higher. This is what I imagine when they say armour effecting gameplay. Shudder..... Also with sprint built in, it should have a drawback (getting shot takes away some sprint or something).
