BR = shrug. Don't really care, I've adapted to the precision weapon of choice in every Halo game so far. Dedicated, non-campaign-related multiplayer spaces is the best news in here by far. Sprint... hmmm. If it's just sprint, I'm fine with it. If it's armor abilities again, I'm not enthused. Armor affecting gameplay is terrifying. I have a bad feeling they're going farther down the road of loadouts and COD-ifying the game. Wish there was any kind of look at forge here.
I think sprint is built in. If you pause the screen on a multiplayer frame, then you'll notice that there isn't a sprint symbol, hence no armor abilities. Another thing to ponder is why are spartans fighting spartans. Master Chief is the last spartan, so we've never questioned why spartans are fighting spartans in multiplayer. But now 343i feels that they need to explain the feud. Does that mean that it ties into campaign somehow. Maybe chief isn't the last spartan and if he isn't then are the spartans going to be in factions, against chief, with chief, or what? What's your opinion on why spartans are fighting each other and how it fits into the halo universe?
I've never had a bit of interest in why spartans are fighting spartans - it's multiplayer, it's not canon or part of a storyline. Short article about the Halo 4 perks here. May I be the first to be scared witless of this development.
Well, team.... I think a change of underwear and a slap in the face are in order. 343, I am sorry I doubted you.
Even though I had no sound, the video was awesome. I'm glad the BR is back, but i'm a bit uneasy about how much that 343 are changing the visual design of the character models. And human faces?
Transparent radar looks cool. Info Multiplayer - Story wraps around the multiplayer experience for the first time in the franchise. - Players now control Spartan IV’s, which promise to be just as powerful as Master Chief. - There is a reason why red and blue soldiers are killing each other. - Beyond the typical cosmetic customization options, players will be able to augment their Spartan IV’s abilities and weapon loadouts, altering their gameplay styles for the first time. A lot of focus has gone into giving players a better sense of weight. - Audio design has been much improved and really gives a player a sense of where shots are coming from. - Maps have been built from the ground-up. - Two maps have been announced so far: War House and Wrap Around. - War House takes place in a civilian manufacturing plant that is travelling in a near space orbit above a gas giant. - Wrap Around is a small slayer style arena, set in a Forerunner facility, that contains catwalks, ramps, and plenty of man-cannons to keep the action fast and frantic.
The spartans just looked strange. It didn't look like halo, on that aspect anyways. I also feel that with some of the changes they're making it's going to take even more people away from custom games, which I feel is the best aspect of halo, and by taking away that they'll decrease the value of the forge by extension. Less people play customs in Reach cause of credits, what's it going to be like when there's an actual perk system?
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-
A couple things I DETEST with that footage. 1) The position of the multiplayer medals. 2) The spartan headpiece design. Its just awful 3) The GUI in general 4) The squariness of the BR 5) A reason for multiplayer. Where I think 343 has it wrong is that they are looking up to halo. They should look down on it, and feel confident with what they are doing, in the formula, in the inches of the style. The massively changed style from every other halo is actually quite annoying, and I think they have changed too much, and are too busy following other games suits, like user changable loadouts. JUGE mistake there. Copying COD, battlefield and other games like that. Halo is loosing individuality, its losing the components that make it great. After the non-halo like music and the non halo like HUD display and style, i'm more worried than ever. Just having the unlockable weapons makes this game alien to halo. halo 4 is not halo, and because of that I may really consider not buying H4.
And guys, remember still, that it is a WIP so don't start freaking out over something. I can't wait until some full gameplay videos are released.
chief is not the last of the spartans if i remember i think its linda from blue team which is aso the team that chief was on survived she was injured and cryogenicaly frozen. also there are a group of spartans that escaped off of onyx into a forrunner shield world in ghosts of onyx by eric nylund.
I hope the SMG comes back, just so I cna make an Infection gametype where you get only a SMG and Alpha Zombies are Orange and normal ones yellow so they sort of resemble fire and then call the gametype ''Fire Hoses''. SPRRAAAYYY AND PRRRRAAAYYY!
I have no particular feeling about it yet simply because they haven't shown one frame of it or made any announcements. If I was going to make a wild-ass guess, it would be that forge will be barely upgraded from Reach. A few new bells and whistles, maybe less framerate lag, but far from the major leap that was made from Halo 3 to Reach forge. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
OOOhhhs and ahhss, I like the way this is heading.. I can feel the excitement building up just by looking at my underwea- I mean by noticing the comments of fellow members. WOOH, HALO 4.
You do realize they have many of the people that created h1 and h2 working with them. You're also judging a book by its cover.
If the perks are very minor (example: 0.10 or 0.20 influences, which can add up.) I wont mind them, though if they are as important to choose as CoD's system then I may be a bit upset. I simply don't know about forge (though I really hope they take forgeworld and just make that better. You know, more diversity and pieces, maybe an undo button too. As for the spartan's image- I dont mind it. Its an interesting take on what the original was, and I am also sure a lot of that was due to new armor sets as well. They don't look too bad to me, Im not crazy about them either though.
