even though this wasn't in spoilers as it should have been, QFT it was awesome for what it was, and by the end of it I was so pissed off they took the "hollywood" ending for what could've been a hollywood movie transcended.
New theory: Gingers are reincarnations of past people. Each freckle is a life that person took. Daywalkers are your average murderer, maybe a soldier that only got a few kills before dying. Full on gingers are past kings/commanders/warlords, responsible for many lives. Gingers with only a handful of freckles are serial killers, soldiers that took multiple lives, etc.
Well you are a ginger (technically), and you have only a handful of freckles... Maybe we shouldn't hang out so much over the summer. Maybe I'll just stay in Alaska...
The meaning of daywalker is someone with red hair and no freckles. If you have red hair and freckles, you are a ginger.
Actually it was about 60% original. I saw somewhere that each freckle represents a soul they've eaten, so I built off of that.
