First of all, the name will probably be changed, I just picked it for a placeholder. So I've been working on this map for a while, and I think it has been coming out pretty well. I haven't done the spawns yet, but I have with the weapons, here's the weapon list- 8x DMR 4x Needle Rifle 2x Plasma Repeater 2x Needle Rifle 2x Grenade Launcher 1x Sniper 4x Plasma Grenade 2x Plasma Turret Tell me if I need to change the weapons. Also I need to get this tested so I will be making a custom game lobby soon! Well enough talk, here's the pictures- That's the best overview picture I can get. looks great so far but one thing i would recommend is to get rid of the plasma turret. i am saying this because it looks like it will cause people to camp and i will be to over powering on a small map like this. i would also recommend maybe getting rid of some of the wall colis because they look pretty ungly and rushed. besides that great map and if you need help with testing/forging message me on live my GT is bullet2thehead9
This area looks extremely open and difficult to escape from. I couldn't see myself coming around that corner for any reason during competitive play.
Yeah, i've been trying to find some cover for this part. But nothing looks good. And that is why I picked the Plasma Turret. it's slower and not and powerful as the regular turret. But if it causing camping during testing then I will get rid of it!
I third their theory about that area being too open. Otherwise, Robert, this looks to be a step up from your previous works and I can tell you're improving and I'll be looking forward to your future projects.
Certain parts remind me of a map I've created, but audience is right(Again) about holy shnikes, this looks amazingly clean, though it does seem a bit open.
Add 2x2 inclines next to that corner, then put some tunnel longs or tunnel shorts(?) covering the inclines. You might want to leave some small hole or slot that you could shoot through. Finally add a power weapon. I would suggest either the shotgun or the sniper rifle. This will not only improve gameflow and add cover, but will also give an incentive to head in that area. Hope that helps.
I don't like this. Dead end teleporters and confined ledge turrets tend to get annoying. Ditch the turrets and add a mancannon. Teleporter is up to you. Needs more seastack/arch. Ideally seastack on one side and arch on the other to help orientation.
Thanks for the feedback. I was actually considering taking out the turret, but I think I'm going to keep the teleporters. And I have added more cover to that open area but I'll also try adding higher rocks.
