    Hello guys! I'm here to present to you a map made by Tomlids. He does not yet have an account here and so I am taking the liberty of promoting his awesome map.


    The map is named Raptors and supports both infection and race in a Jurassic Park themed setting. The gametype uses a special varient where all zombies are elites.

    -modded gametypes are not allowed-

    Otherwise it is recommended that you use the gametype: zm_outbreak


    Below you is an overview shot of the map showing the zombie respawn points.

    The main idea behind this project was to have a medium sized infection map that supported all sorts of fun gameplay. This map has without a doubt achieved its goal.

    Humans can hold out in a tremendous number of ways, ranging from holing up in close quarter tunnels to riding in the back of a warthog.


    Weapons available:
    -rockets
    -sniper
    -shotguns
    -pistols
    -grenades
    -assault rifles
    -turret

    Vehicles available:
    -1 warthog
    -1 mongoose

    The shining jewel of the map has to be the warthog gameplay. The map was redesigned specifically to promote better vehicle pathing and now warthogs can take full advantage of the loop around the map. The best hope for surviving in the warthog is to keep moving and the circuit worked into the map allows it to do just that. The size of the map however keeps the warthog from becoming too powerful as the raptors can easily cut across the main building to flank the vehicles or lay ambushes.

    Tell him this for me will you? This map is very good. I liked the idea of a dinosaur infection theme to the map. I liked when your the raptor and your playing as elites and the spartans are the survivors. Like it alot. But I think I have one problem about this map. The warthog may be overpowering for the raptors because the spartans can hold the trigger of the button and they'll pwn the raptors pretty easy. But overall he's done a good job of making this fun infection map. - EpICx ReMiX XD

    While it is true that spartans in warthogs can just spam the turret, the map size would seem to counter that as Oakley has already said. That warthog would easily rack up points early on but as the game progresses, it would become a much easier and more noticable target. By the look of the layout, it doesn't look that hard to ambush it.

    Anyway great theme, I love maps that truly utilise vehicular gameplay. Insanmiac always just chucks random warthogs on his map without real thought. You lose your driver, you're going to lose the gunner and passenger as well, that always happens to idiots that get in the warthogs in his maps :/

    By the way is Tom the one working on that act 1: the labs map. If so tell him good luck because I can't wait to play on it!

    ya I can already see some good hiding spots but I do not have a bungie.net account that is linked to my gamer tag because my brother used his email to make the gt and he's forgot the password so what can I type in for tags to get this and the game type to come up in file browser???

    But is there some way you can explain to me how it works?

    Map looks great, I will try and get a game going on it when I have time - and enough people :)

    No offence but that's BS.
    Whenever he puts warthogs in his map he puts them there being a secondary option for humans to try and survive. Up to now the only maps that he used them on are the hold out maps such as Necro Street, where the main objective is to lock yourself in in the buildings other than to drive around and get massive kill streaks. He puts thought in everything and if he wanted the warthogs to be a main thing in those maps he would have created the map in a different way. So don't say he chucks them in without thought, because that is simply not true.
    However, I do understand that you're trying to say that he doesn't put effort in making warthog maps, and that is right. But yeah, maybe he just doesn't like them as much.


    I believe that is Oakley's map but I can't tell for sure :)

    I tagged the map as "raptors" and "tomlids" and gametype is linked as "elite infection" and "spartans vs raptors".

    How did u even get the zombies to be elites in the first place that is something I never believed possible mind telling me??? Or do u want to keep it secret?

    Wow, this looks like a hell of a lot of fun. This really seems to bring back the awesome vehicle gameplay from Sandtrap infection games, but also has some really cool holdout areas. I remember being in forge on here while it was being forged and not thinking much of it, but now I really like what I see. I'll have to play this soon.

    Also, I believe the Act 1: Labs is mainly Oakley's but I think the series is being forged with Tom as well.

    wooooooowwwwwww this is epic looks nice and from the video plays great looking foward to downloading this you and tomlids did a great job and i belive that the gametype is modded because i have not seen a map with elites as zombies and the option in the gametype setup

    Yeah but if you take that option in his maps its pretty just an assured death. His maps are way too cramped for warthogs to be an option at all. I personally think he should stick with the maps objective or provide an adequate second option for survival. A massive fan of Insanmiac's but sometimes it just feels like he rushes things.

    Unfortunately, I believe the gametype is modded. As cool as it is, I fear that eventually the staff will descend upon this thread as Forgehub has an absolutely zero-tolerance policy when it comes to modded content.

    If it is modded, 343 should take it upon themselves to create an official version of it, as this kind of gametype is the sort of thing that can inspire some new and inventive gametypes.

    Yeah it is a shame that the original infection gametype didnt come with this option as it is a simple addition that can lead to really cool gameplay. Not exactly sure where it came from, could be a newer version that bungie later released. I ran into it in customs a little while ago

    It is modded, and I'm 95% sure that the Staff will remove the DL link soon. Nibs and I have tried to make a gametype where the infected are elites, but it wasn't possible.

    I,ve seen the video on THFE,s Channel, and i loved the idea, normally you see compatible with all gametypes except race (invasion etc.) but this even includes race, and thats awsome.
    And not just walking around in infection, you have the ability to seat an vehicle with your fellow players and dominate the zombies (or the zombies swarm u =P)
    And i see someone, Thfe or tom i dont really know, is busy on an act map again.
    I love the story maps, and im busy with one too, its not going to be as good as u probally but i can try to make it an good story map serie.
    Anyways, thanks for posting this because this is (as all you content) awsome, keep on going guys =)

    I am quite impressed here. Not only is this a seemingly inventive gametype but also a unique zombie map (mostly given it's vehicles) and I also am pleasantly surprised of the race addition. Great work here, too bad the game is slightly modded. This (elite zombies) should be made a non-mod option.

    Act 1 was origanaly mine and oakley jumped on it with me and made it look and work better :)

    My mistake. Good work on that as well.

    For future reference, it would be best not to quote a massive post full of screenshots and whatnot as you did above.

    Hopefully I can get a game here this weekend...
