What card are you using? I plan to use a 6950 on mine, and I'm curious as to how it will handle a Skyrim with several graphical improvement mods.
Aela the Huntress is really annoying me. I married her, which was nice because she gave me free money and food. Then she disappeared for ages, totally disappeared. Now I've found her back with the other Companions, she's forgotten we're married and she (along with all other companions) will run at me when I come in to Whiterun just like guards do when they're hunting you down! If I make any of them follow me they just interrupt me every few seconds asking me what I need! Note to self: Avoid wife.
During and after that quest occasionally random people will claim you did stuff with/to them and they'll want to fight you.
I got a new GeForce GT 440 for my birthday (Not a great quality card, but decent) and I can actually play Skyrim on Ultra at ~40fps. I'm so happy. And a new Nvidia driver got put out today that also boosts Skyrim's performance, to boot!
watanoob Non spam; I've made a character that doesn't use combat skills, I'd definitely give that a go if you get bored of the same old same old.
Agreed. That was definitely one of the more satisfactory quests in the game. I loved the sense of mischief and mystery that surrounded it. Kinda like if they had turned "The Hangover" into a game.
Well they turned it into a quest. Most of the hand written side quests have post-modern or cameo themes.
I've seen tons of flooded city mods... they are quite pointless. I've seen lots of horrible mods. Especially people who copy paste famous buildings and put them in highly unlikely places and make them player homes... I saw a guy who had copied all of dragonsreach, and had the nerve to say it was "based" off of it. I'd like to see some actually good mods, not ***** armor made by horny school jockeys. I'm fed up with them all, the sex animation and nude mod creators clearly can't access porn. TL;DR People need to start making some substantial mods. I've been squeezing in time to work on my Seasonal Foliage mod like the one seen in the gamejam video.
To be fair, it will be months before mods from the pros start popping up now that the kit is finally out. By the time I have a decent comp, Skyrim will be in a pretty sweet spot as far as patches, DLC, and mods are concerned. I look forward to re-exploring it as a new game on PC.
well, that's why i'm asking... which ones? certain mods lead to comparability issues, i was using fxaa prior, but i'm unaware of any large-scale texture conversion.
Are there any good mods out there that aren't just nude versions of characters, graphical improvements, or oversized and incredibly stupid houses? I want a mod that adds a short questline or something...
