I am not able to forge for a couple days but I want to know if this idea would work. You have to betray your teammate so the body hits a gravlift and goes through a one-way shield and scores a point. Would this work?
If you would use HaloBall / the Action Sack gametype, make the player that needs to score a point spawn on top of an armor ability that has been set to be skee_ball_object, create a hill behind the onewayshield and set that to be HB_goal, then it would work, yes. Just make sure the dead person doesn't respawn too quick or the hill on his dead body will already disappear. However, although this sounds pretty funny I think it would be hard for people to figure out how to do it. Maybe this is more something that's meant to be used in a Puzzle map.
Good idea. However, I'm not sure that the armor ability idea might work. So if it doesn't, you could also rig it so the dead body trips a mine, then the mine could launch a gold ball into the zone, scoring a point. In order to get people to realize that they must betray their teammates, you could simply make a loadout cam that says 'BETRAY' or something made out of guns.
Corpses don't sync. I once attached a STP_GOAL to an Armor Ability and killed the player who spawned atop that AA in a Custom Game. Though the score did sync, with the corpse's position on the host box determining the location of the Stockpile goal's boundaries, the visible boundaries of the STP_GOAL and the visible corpse did not sync. No one could know for sure where the corpse (or its attached goal) really was, and whether or not a flag was really inside of it, because the corpse and the goal were in different places for different players. You'll probably encounter the same problem when constructing your minigame, regardless of what gametype you use.
In regular team slayer settings there is an option for this that doesnt take much skill to use. betrayal points: 1 so.... this thread...
