My new map is a team based map which is entirely symmetrical on both sides. Look further below for visuals. The map has alot of potential. Cant really point out any problems. Hows the framerate? You used alot of 3x3's and glass... Love the use of the cover pieces. Balanced layout, also. The structure in the center reminds me of the pit in a way...
Its actually good. I did use quite a bit of items on the map but the map does not glitch at all when you move around it. But in forge if you get really high on the map or if you are far away then you will notice some glitching. That is all I notice.
I think it looks cool and colorful . It looks like it would also be fun to play on, and also fair. I would vote for putting this on Reach, but they dont like colorful aesthetics. Also, it kind of reminds me of the city place in ODST where you find all the missions and stuff. Oh, New Mombasa thats it. Yeah, it kind of looks like that.
I think its a great map i DL'd it and love it. I just think the back of the map (oppisite of snipe) is kinda plain theres nothin really there and it just looks to open/somethings missing. I would love this is Reach, great job. Also can i make a review of this map on my youtube channel? They get a fair bit of views so it will help get your map out there.
This whole map, especially the center, does remind me of The Pit also. It seems like from looking at the pictures the center would be a no-go-zone. The outside is so heavily protected with cover that they would have the advantage in a DMR battle. This map looks really good though. nicely forged and good use of materials. Good Job.
I have done some modifications to the map itself and made the backside of the map less dull, also I turned the no go zone into a risky area to get power weapons. But make sure that when you play any sort of gametype just turn the weapon set to map default or you will be in for one chaotic ride. iFamousFilms : Now that I have done some updates I highly appreciate a commentary/review. Well you seemed heavily inspired by The Pit on this one, which others have pointed out. That's understandable, The Pit was a good map. As far as gameplay goes the map seems as though it would hold up, I'd like to see a weapon list though. Aesthetically... I can see where you were trying to differentiate yourself from other maps, which is good, but I'd almost go simpler. In some areas you used A LOT of pieces to try and make it look good, which is getting close to over doing it. I wouldn't say the map looks BAD, it's just that theres bits where you used so many pieces it starts to look... clunky Great job overall, I bet it plays great!
I downloaded and played your map. Cons- -Not very many game varients are compatable with your map, either you set them up wrong or just didn't do them at all. -Sniper side of the map is an overly used area, it would be the hot spot. seems like it is the map itself. -The Pit part of the map feels like its at a disadvantage to the sniper side. Although you did put power weapons there, they can only do so much. Pros- -The map layout is unique, looks different from the others. -The maps detail looks good, which makes the map less dull like the others. -Multiple entrances and exits, which alter the outcome of games. From my judgement I would give this map a 7 out of 10.
Just looked at the updated version and i love what you added, befor there was that space with nothing there and it looks so weird and plain but it looks great now and i like the way it looks, i will be sure to review this map on my channel, you did a awesome job!
Well I did try to make a good map, which I hope others like it, and hope they think it plays real well but my biggest goal was to make a map that looks good. I think I did that. But what did you mean by clunky?
I'm not saying it looks terrible haha, clunky... how to describe clunky... Uh.. Well detail is always really nice to see, which you did a good job on here, but there's just so many pieces, that some of the patterns and styles of the individual items kind of reject each other... That's probably the best description I can give you Really rushed and done in paint example of what I'm tokin bout 1 is simple but boring 2 is simple but catches the eye 3 loses cohesion and stresses the eye The map still looks decent, and remember, this is coming from a guy that is drawn to simple designs that stand out (if you can imagine that)
