lol... I really don't see the point in catering to someone who insists on bringing **** upon himself. shame on those who reacted the way they did to the original post, sure, but punishing commentary a week after the fact simply because the subject insisted on mulling up all the drama again for no reason is as close to unjustified as you can get without breaching the rights of others. (that is to say, infracting a week-old post) The original incident was handled and those who infringed upon his "rights" were punished in a manner befitting their behavior. But if my rights end where his begin, then why are his extending so far beyond the original incident to the point where he can bring it all back up again then I get the possibility of punishment merely for commenting on the fact that it is over and it should be treated as such? It makes no sense.

I was at school, and every time I started to write out a post, I got interrupted. That's entirely unrelated, and won't be deleted anytime soon; you might not realize it, or even want to accept it, but the Pony thread and its posters actually enjoy the show. Myself included. That's an entirely different discussion, though. The specific post you're referring to was only recently reported; it had been left alone until the user that was being insulted had a problem with it. I was hoping that the whole thing would die down more quickly than it is, so that no more intervention would be needed. It wasn't a smart move on Grunthunter's part to resurface the whole ordeal, but while he's trying to come to a reasonable conclusion on the affair, others continued to pester and insult. It's like salt in an already festering wound. I was in a rush when I made my initial post; discussion of the topic, while frowned upon, is generally acceptable from this point forward. I gave out infractions and deleted posts to create a sort of buffer while I talked with Grunt about the issue. No need adding more fuel to the fire. I believe that he understands his mistake at this point, and I'm asking you guys to do him the favor of at least respecting his new understanding.
So you're saying nothing different. You still acted on something a week old because of a new instance. There is a difference between asking and telling. One of them isn't usually regarded with criticism and overt negativity.
I would rather not let this grunthunter thing die because there really is nothing else to talk about. Also I still do not know what happened.
There's fault on either end. Accusations will get you no where if you still decided not to be the bigger man and just let it rest.
A) I don't know if you are terrible at sarcasm, or a retarded hypocrite. The company you keep exemplifies pack mentality; its like claiming you are a non-conformist, and don't want to be labeled: fundamentally unsound. B) Honestly, I don't disagree with deleting General Chat, though my reasoning is different. C) I did that because it was apparently decided that the PPC is the soul authority in OT, with no regard to the staff of the site, and the consensus says that while infracting spam/trolling is considered acceptable in General Chat, it cause for a moral uprising in Off Topic. Not justifying anything, just trying to get the **** away from you. Also, what the ****, serious discussion in the PPC? I am disappoint
Until that new instance had occurred, I was unaware that Grunthunter had found the post insulting. One week isn't massive span of time, especially with discussions over the same topic still taking place. I was telling before, and now I'm asking.
^ It looks like Obama is displeased at you Tusk. Can you find one of Obama looking displeased upward?
Tusk gets me, s'all cool. Security, I watch it to understand the canon, because I love art and I can find infinitely more creative, unknown, and inspiring work out of this fandom than any history book. And I ****ing love art.
For something as minor as this, and yes, indirect commentary is minor (in most cases anyway), a week is a pretty long time. Furthermore, this isn't an isolated incident. It's connected to the fact that he sought to stir **** again for no reason, then people who did the SAME THING on the other side, much closer in time to the original incident, get punished for it immediately afterward.
