I lol'd because it's true. Have you seen the movie?

Sora no Otoshimono is yet another that I haven't watched, but I am currently reading. I can say the manga is very funny, while keeping a good, serious plot. The things Tomoki does go a bit overboard at times though, but I guess that isn't a bad thing ;) The most closely related anime I can think of for this would be To Love-Ru.

Shuffle was interesting to watch. The animation was unique among others at the time it was released and each character was distinct. My favorite character would probably have to be Sia.

Clannad was sad, but the after story will definatly make you shed a tear. Have you seen it? If you like romantic tearjerkers like that i'd recommend Air or Ano Hi Mita.

I've never watched Naruto, but i'm still currently reading the manga.

Soul Eater is yet another series I was watching until I had to cancel Netflix.

I've watched a couple of episodes of Gurren Lagaan on Netflix, but as for the other two I haven't yet seen them. I haven't even heard of Gasaraki. I'll have to check them out.

I watched two episodes of this on Netflix and wasn't too interested. It just looked like large breasts flopping around everywhere, which isn't necesarrily a bad thing, but there was too much of it for me. I'll have to watch some more episodes and maybe i'll have a better opinion of it.

First off: It was on Netflix??? :O

And yes, you're right, it's some crazy stuff but the story is good and the animation is sweet. Do not watch episode 6 with others in the same room. Trust me.

I have actually seen the Afterstory to Clannad, including those lil "what-if" scenarios. I'll be honest, that's official the first anime to make me shed a tear. Never seen anything more emotionally powerful like that. Sora No Otoshimono wasn't as tearjerking but it's humor and actual use of a decent plotline had me hooked from start to finish. Still waiting for the movie though, hope to see that soon!
Shuffle was actually my first anime I watched. Good way to start out, loved the plot twists they made every so often, really catches people off guard. Only thing I didn't like about it was that after the whole thing with Kaede, she kinda scared me for a while...

And yes, H.O.T.D was on Netflix. I watched the whole thing, gotta say that I like it though it needs a touch more zombie. Other than the whole overly done porno stuff, I have to say that I enjoyed it pretty well. Though they need to continue it, they left off a PERFECT place to start a new season.

Yep, Netflix was going into it's golden age with anime, but I unfortunatly ran out of the funds to pay for it. Now I have to watch episode 6 with others in the same room just because you said that, haha.

I never have been a fan of bloodyish anime. Not since Blood-C at least. *shivers*

Me too, my friend. Me too.

Im surprised no one here is mentioning Rahxephon. that truly is one of the best animes i have ever seen. Really pushing for more people to see it. Its got an amazing Egyptian style and the music in it is really crazy.

    RahXephon Trailer - YouTube

it doesnt do it justice. First episode is excellent.

Highschool of the Dead and Girls Bravo are the two best examples of what Japan does because their women are very unattractive.

In the past several years I've only watched a handful of anime shows and read only a few manga. Currently, I'm only reading Bleach and Naruto... Yeah.... I have to see them through to the end damnit! And thank god Bleach is in its now announced final story arc, and Naruto is progressing rapidly towards it's end as well.

Those aside, Full Metal Alchemist and Death Note are the only other two I've read/watched in the past couple of years. Amazing series the both. I also loved Ruroni Kenshi when I was younger, especially the OVA's Samarai X and Trust and Betrayal.

You were right when you said it has a resemblence to Evangelion, which is a damn good anime. It's been put on my list. I literally have a .txt document full of anime I need to watch lol.

Now i'm even more curious. Will it scar me for life?

Haha, that's the same reason i'm still reading Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece; gotta see it through! Bleach has started slacking after the Aizen arc IMO and Naruto seems like it's starting to lose it's pazaaz. One Piece is still going strong, but it's just too damn long.

I've watched Death Note and I thought it was decent. Out of all the anime I've watched that one had the worst opening. It had a great plot though with lots of suspense. I read FMA recently and really enjoyed it. It's really deserving to be up there with Naruto and I bet it would be if it were also never ending, haha. I read up until the arc with the guy with the flaming sword (his name escapes me) in RK. That was so long ago, haha. I have to go up to the book store and see if I can find the rest of the series.

In a way I miss Toonami, but then again I don't. That was an anime television station back in like 2004 if you didn't know.

Thanks to you sky, I now have a huge-ass list of anime that i need to watch. Using this thread, funimation.com, and the wikipedia pages for Adult Swim and Toonami, I compiled a list of anime that 1) I've seen anything from one episode to almost finished, and 2) actually enjoyed enough to remember it.

    In alphabetical order:

    .Hack // Sign
    Afro Samurai
    Baka and Test
    Big Windup!
    Big O
    Black Butler
    Bleach
    Code Geass
    Cowboy Bebop
    Death Note
    DB, DBZ, DBGT
    Eden of the East
    Ghost in the Shell: SAC
    FLCL
    FMA: Brotherhood
    Inuyasha
    Kenichi
    Mongolian Chop Squad
    Mushi-Shi
    Naruto
    One Piece
    Paranoia Agent
    Ruroni Kenshin
    Samurai Champloo
    School Rumble
    Sekirei
    Shin Chan
    Soul Eater
    Summer Wars
    The Sacred Blacksmith
    Trigun
    Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles
    xxxHolic
    Yu Yu Hakusho

I guess I'll post my progress, also.

No. But it has some "naughty" scenes. If you're curious, google it.

    This

Although I don't think he'll appreciate it, it's the funniest anime I've seen in a while.

BT, every single one on that list is good, you should enjoy them. While not all of them are completely memorable, they are all good.

The ones least memorable for me were Baka and Test, and Sekirei.

I also lost interest in Baka and Test halfway through. I haven't watched Sekerei, but I love the manga, so i'm sure it's good.

EDIT: I've never seen FMA: brotherhood, but i've seen the original series. Is there some kind of difference or is just a remastered kind of thing?
