    The sniper platform may end up being made less "trippy" to reduce object usage there. I don't think allowing players to jump from there to the energy bridge is a good idea, as the platform already has a lot of power over the bridge, and that would allow players to jump from the platform, to the teleporter, and then back down to the platform again far too quickly.

    It's a shame there's no way to make the bridge triggered in rather than timed. That could make a key element of a great map, like the triggered bridge on Last Resort or the gate on High Ground. Still, cool trick and it looks neat.

    When stevie showed me it in forge, we couldn't jump from one to the other, but with sprint i'm sure the opposite will become the case. So I'm gonna assume the CGT has no sprint options in it?

    Instead of looking into triggering non-motion items into somehow despawning and forcing others to spawn.......

    You should look into finding out why this glitch occurs in that specific area, and see if theres a way to spawn items anywhere in the map with that invisible effect.

    Oh btw did I mention that I am making the video for your map now, if you release without a video I will go over to your countries and beat you, specifically stevo cos he'll be drunk and won't be able to fight back. :p

    So this has to be done in a very specific section of FW? So lost... been out of the forge game for a long time now.

    I actually built one of these awhile back, though you can't walk under it and that more or less unmotivated me from making it. Very good job though. I hope to play this map at some point and see if the gameplay is as nice.

    That is exactly the question I want answering... unfortunately, I don't have the time and I'm not particularly great with glitches.

    Windows collesiums for some reason turn partially invisible when placing them in certain places of forge world. It appears the properties of items are made to go invisible when being placed through natural caverns. This does occasionally work in the Collesium, although it's very hard to replicate there.

    This is exactly why it's taken me so long to actually release a "preview" of this. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to implement this energy bridge in a map successfully without it being a remake of narrows.

    I showed the fixed version of an energy bridge to about 10-15 people a good few months back allowing anyone to adopt the same approach and no one actually did anything with it due to not being able to go underneath the bridge.




    On another note, thanks for the major interest in this guys. I hope it turns out to be all what you hope it to be :)

    I tested a 2v2 on this yesterday, and it went well, although there are some respawn times we need to sort out, and we need to crush screenlag, which is something I tend to be rather good at doing. We'll see how this goes.

    so you just put down a random window and it turned invisable andyou were like: "dude i should make a map out of this except with pshycoduck!!!"

    Oh... no.
    That concept was shown to me within the first few months of Reach coming out... I never thought anything of it (as in the part where you can walk up it) as the person who showed me it said he was going to use it as invisible barriers to wall in maps and I didn't particularly find it that interesting.

    It wasn't until about 6 (maybe longer) ish months ago where I decided I wanted to look into making energy bridges again and remembered that glitch, and it was surprisingly easy to line the window pieces up. So yeah.. energy bridge = easy to build.

    My concepts for it were all flawed though as I wanted to include natural landscape but make sure people couldn't attempt to walk under it. An early map concept me and psychoduck made (named 'Erupt' LOL) was an absolute fail and wasn't very successful so is now just a comedic map on my hard drive.

    Still persisting, I tried to remake narrows... But, I didn't have anything to scale and I found that the natural landscape repeatedly got in the way... and eventually I put the idea up to the "Map Template" competition members of the community were going to start running (back before I retired from being staff, however long ago that was) and then it sort of subsided away from everyone until Psychoduck helped me complete a general layout for the map which we've been amending up to a point where it is now (and will likely continue to adapt)

    so unless i were to glitch it to point were you could put it wherever you want to put it. i have to put it were it can turn invisabale again?

    Yes, unfortunately... When you place the item, it becomes invisible above ground, and for some reason is visible below ground so you can sometimes move the pieces.

    If you raise the item too high though, it becomes visible again, and if you're looking at it from certain angles, it becomes visible anyway.

    I think if you were able to glitch yourself into the mountain and spawn items in there on maybe despawned settings and stuff it might be possible to clone the invisible items elsewhere?
