The only thing is, why did you destroy the actual nightingale bow, then put the enchantment on an incredibly terrible Imperial Bow? At the moment I'm using an Ebony Bow with an enchantment I took from a Daedric Sword of Inferno. The ***** does 700+ Damage without any marksman potions.
The enemies actually scale a lot less than they did in oblivion. thats one of the things they addressed and attempted to fix. i think it works well in skyrim.
I didn't touch the nightingale bow. I just don't like it's enchantments, so i custom made a bow to fit the set. And it's a hunting bow.
To a game developer this sentence makes no sense. At level 1...the game is easier. I feel bad for saying it but I must, duh. Not everyone playing skyrim is a pro elder scrolls or RPG playing gamer. Some people have never played an RPG game before so for those people level scaling is a great way to ease into a game. Just remember, game designers aren't making games for the 1% of hardcore gamers that usually populate these kind of forums.
I did. When I learned the leveling up system I decided to stay at level one for as long as I cared for. By the time i did finally level up I shot straight to almost level five.
Never played oblivion, Skyrim was a bit confusing for a bit but i quickly figured out that instead of wasting health pots I would level up to heal whenever i needed it (rarely did, Mater difficulty too) But then I realized I would level up 2-7 levels at once then enemy's would get massively harder without many benefits. I would get the feeling of working hard then been rewarded by been a bad ass finally dominating everything, Level up bunch of levels, Everything is hard again :'(.
skyrim has leveled zones. If you "want to feel like a bad ass" just kill things around the areas where you were lower levels, the bad guys should all still be around those levels.
... Pac, that's why there are multiple difficulty levels. That's why games have multiple difficulty levels. If you're new, and you can't handle it, you turn down the difficulty. If you have difficulty with an Elder Scrolls game while you're a low level and on the lowest difficulty, you should probably get your helmet back on and go back to colouring. It's not a hardcore game, even on the higher difficulties. And about the killing Giants thing, Giants are one of the few enemies that actually present some sort of a challenge at a low level. But they're still easy enough to kill. If the game had a single difficulty level, I'd agree with your point. But it doesn't. At the lowest difficulty, the game plays itself.
An RPG that plays itself. So it's a personality? Fact is, the level scaling provides much more diversity in difficulty than a few settings or even a slider (which is just secretly a few more settings). Level scaling was introduced in Fallout so it is no surprise to see it in Skyrim. Yes, obviously you can create a smarter, more rewarding function for the AI, but this was undoubtedly to save workload. All of the NPC's in the game are assigned a base template out of a few, which corresponds to their difficulty/strength in comparison to your level. This is a better way of doing things than custom-manufacturing probably more than 1000 different enemies.
I just stumbled upon a giant (troll I think?) or something. ****ers 1-hit. I'm level 4 now and does anybody know where the lady that can appraise my unusual gem is in Riften? I heard she was in the ratway, but I can't seem to find her. Also, Riften is a dump.
Ahhh getting ragdolled by a giant... Spoiler Her name is Vex and she is in the Ragged Flagon in the ratways.
Difficulty levels are a level to start out at not a progression. Games are built on difficulty progression, its known as game flow. For more advanced players they can start at the harder difficulties but even at master the first level will always be easier than the last because that's how level design works. The first levels are supposed to be easy, the last levels the hardest. There are very few games that do not follow that pattern as it is a fundamental concept in game design.

Man I need to get back into Skyrim. I haven't touched it in 3 weeks now. I haven't even finished the main quest >_>
I'm still debating what to finish before the main quest Finished companions finished legion waiting till high level to finish theives (leveled rewards) haven't started DB haven't gone to the party in main haven't started college
Yea but that's no fun going back killing skeveers when i was killing everything. Idk why everyone was saying it was easy at level 1, I found it hard to kill almost everything(like they all had the same hp and damage as me.) But least I can one shot small animals and some weak bandits now. Keep in mind this is my first play though and I didn't know the perfect strategies and tactics of someone who has played before and can go "I started a mock account and killed a giant on level 1 psst was easy, leveling system sucks" First levels where hard got slightly easier as I played though then at one point when i got some skills to level 100 it seemed like I've reached my max efficiency but the enemy's keep getting stronger.(back to the difficulty of level one again lol)
