In an ideal world, I'd agree, but that only leaves us with Zealot, Select, and Asylum if I'm not mistaken. Solitary and Battle Canyon would also be in, but they're rare to come by. Countdown can actually yield decent matches so long as both teams don't resort to sedentary strategies, though tweaking the weapons in a similar fashion to MLG would be very nice. I agree with the other 5 though; Unanchored and Reflection revolve around a single power position even without campy weapons, and all three of those forged maps suck, despite how much I love Treasury due to its surplus of GL's. A version of Penance would be nice as well.
Though evade does make it better for the zombies, I still like having alpha zombies as opposed to every zombie being the same. Maybe if they made alphas have unlimited sprint and regulars have rechargeable evade, or just giving alphas unlimited evade. Either way, adding new specialized maps is a gigantic step forward.
I love the new zombie maps (although I don't really see why it had to take 1.5 years), but I don't really get why there is no ammo on the maps? I would also like to see some more gameplay variants. Infection just has so much potential and imo they are just grasping the top of it with the new maps.
There's no ammo because the humans are already overpowered. If you want more ammo, get your buddy to betray you.
On a semi-related note: I just played through Two Betrayals a few days ago on Legendary solo and it's soooo good. That fight near the end where you have to destroy two Wraiths and kill a Bunch of Covenant is so intense. Normally I would just grab a ghost and drive around them but this time I decided to kill them all. Stuck a golden Elite from a mile away too. Halo 1 <3
I love finding ways to exploit the new Living Dead maps that the CC's supposedly tested and approved. All these new maps did was shift camp spots and create new and often worse places to exploit. While I appreciate new maps being put into matchmaking, I love how these jokers think that they're revolutionizing gameplay when they're just covering up some exploits only to create others. It just goes to show that these "experts" are nothing more than players trying to push maps into matchmaking that fit their style/vision of how gameplay should be.
Uhh..I haven't played many of the new zombie maps, cause Deadwalk is always picked, or its the broken up cage one, but I haven't found many "Exploits" In them. In Deadwalk, they took out most of them except one, and that one isn't even good. On "The 'Broken' Cage," most the people seem to either go to the lift that takes you up onto elbow, or the Tower on sniper side. Neither seem too overpowering.
The new maps definitely have less exploitable spots than the old ones had. Too bad people still vote for the old ones so they can get easy kills.
Yeah they should simply completely remove the old ones. And maybe add different Variants, but some of those would be exclusive for certain Maps then.
