Does anyone know of any locations for blacksmithing potions? I don't have any alchemy perks and not many of any one kind of ingredient.

The chick at the Alchemy store in Whiterun (Beside the General Store if you don't know where it is) sells them quite commonly.
The Alchemy store in Solitude sells them too, but not as often as the one in Whiterun, I find.

Probably, but i don't know why you would need to think in sixteenths.. even master locks are doable in under 10 picks with no lock picking skill.

The blue circles are highlighting the bolts on the lock, so you can line up the pick on the first quarter and last quarter.

oblivion's lockpicking was basically trying to knock all the tumblers into place so the lock would open.

Is there any word on DLC release dates or content?

No, Todd Howard said there is no timetable yet for DLC content but that it will be "meaty".

Some rumors have been spreading around the interwebs that we'll go back to Morrowind because there is a road past Riften that leads to a gate but an invisible wall that won't allow the players to move up to it and a message saying "you can't go this way" appears. I claim bull on that though because the same message pops up if the player tries to go past any border of skyrim (I've circumnavigated the entire border).

PC modders have found that apparently all of Tamriel is modeled and that by using no-clipping console commands they could explore past the invisible walls. There is nothing outside skyrim building wise yet though.

My personal belief is that at least one DLC would involve a Thalmor invasion where various holds would become damaged and war stricken.

There's also the rumors going around that there'll be a Dwemer Questline added. Possibly finding out the fate of the Dwarves.

There is a quest line from a teacher in the College that has you assisting with research on the fate of the Dwarves. For me, it just seemed to taper off with no real completion of his studies.
    Perhaps I'm missing something, though.

That said, I don't feel like the DLC will have any major impact on the overall timeline the way some of you speculate. It's much easier to remain detached from the lore and still provide a great experience, just like Shivering Isles did.

The dude disappears which I suppose is a way of just "tapering off".

The producer said the DLC would be meaty which implies something significant. I'm not sure what "major impact of the overall timeline" implies but to me "meaty" implies something that changes the scope of skyrim in significant ways.

You guys are deluded, DLC is nothing compared to the juicy modded content we'll be getting (PC users) when the CK comes out. A team of modders are already working on a mmo skyrim. Right now, it works, but no animations of other players, and some questline/spawn issues to sort out. Once the CK comes out and all of that is taken care of, dungeons suitable for multiple people and pvp will be worked on. It's super ambitious, but I hope they can finish it.

    Heres the link:Skyrim Online

Edit: There's also countless other retextures and mesh mods already out there on the nexus, while we wait for the creation kit.

I've returned to him on more than one occasion to see if he would give me any more quests. I suppose disappearance itself would be an adequate conclusion, but it didn't happen for me yet.

All meaty might mean is that it's DLC like Fallout 3, not DLC like the Spell Tomes. He's likely describing how much you're getting, now how important it is.

Something else to consider is that it will have to make sense no matter where you are in the game, meaning it would be easier to add things that have no bearing on the continuity of the Elder Scrolls lore, like the player character fooling around in a plane of Oblivion.

As for the MMO business, I feel like their efforts are better spent elsewhere. If multiplayer is what I wanted, I'd play a game designed for it, not some piecemeal attempt.

Only mod that ever made me feel like I missed out on something was Tamriel Rebuilt, which apparently is planned as within the actual DLC. Plus I feel like I remember reading somewhere that Bethesda might take the most popular mods and making them official...
But multiplayer just sounds bad. PvP will be a match of who has the best combo of alch/smith/enchant and dungeoning will be Leroy Jenkins everywhere. If I wanted to spend time playing with friends I'd put in an FPS, Mario game, or sport game. TES has remained fully single player for multiple reasons, especially immersion.

Taco's talking about modders not the actual programmers working for Bethesda. Unless you meant the modders efforts are better spent elsewhere...which I suppose I agree with but I'm not going to be the one to tell them to get a life.

When you finish the Civil war questline for the imperials and you talk to the general, he says the the peace with the Thalmor sucks. possible DLC?

Since everyone is going on about possible DLC I guess I will too.

In my opinion the most likely things for DLC that I have heard whispers of are:
    • The Aldmiri Dominion or something related to a war with the Thalmor within Skyrim.
    • Returning to previous regions such as Cyrodiil and Morrowind.
    • Dragon Riding

    Now, what I would like to see;
    • New quest giving factions, I would like to be able to join the Silver Hand just to kill them pesky werewolves.
    • Somewhere even deeper than Blackreach, maybe have some lava flows and stuff from it being so deep underground. Possibly have undead Dwemer in a fashion similar to the draugr.
    • Unicorns. Nuff said.
