ah yeah thats it. creek/overgrown i have the most fun in this game when im running specialist spas-12 with a throwing knife like a crazy person. Specifically on Seatown, nothing like jumping off a balcony into the market to pump my shotgun into enemies. The ONLY problem is when you use a shotgun, the whole other team is like "IF HE'S USING THAT IM GONNA DO IT TOO" and they all switch to their striker classes halfway through. ruins all my fun since the striker is WAY better and there are a bunch of enemies with it before the end of the game. At least use the spas like men, ****. what are your guys' ****-around classes like?
I don't really have any on MW3 yet. In blops I would get scavenger and warlord pro with a pile of semtex and flashbangs, crossbow secondary, and a shotgun primary and just run around blowing people up. MW2 was all about the OMA grenade launcher. I haven't found anything too abusable in MW3 yet. Since I don't feel like bumping the blops thread, one of the most fun things in SnD was to get a full team with warlord pro and decoy grenades to throw them at the start. Most of the time the enemies thought we were hacking and just quit. Do you have any recommendations for such classes?
For anyone that hasn't seen it yet, here's a picture of one of the maps that will be included in the upcoming DLC. It's called Park.
Looks pretty cool. I'm hoping a couple of these new maps will be a decent size. We definitely have enough small maps...
they made it pretty hard to make good ****-around classes, which is a good thing. just put a throwing knife on a running class with specialist, it's the best way to feel like rambo. specialist just makes it so more **** pops up on your screen while you slowly feel more and more awesome and ridiculous. it'll cause you to do some really cocky stuff looks good enough. i dont give a **** what they look like so there's not that much to gather from the picture. what others said, we need less small, more big.
I'm somewhat pissed that they will be releasing spec ops and campaign as a part of the 20 pieces of dlc.... -_- When I got elite I was uninformed and now I've wasted my money when I could have just bought certain map packs.
I am really looking forward to every little piece of DLC this game comes out with, I told myself that I would buy an elite subscription one week before the DLC comes out and I'm sticking to it.
Well I got MW3 and like all games I get I do the single player first. Here are my impressions. I started around 9:00 pm and finished the game around 2:00 am. I was a little disappointed in that the single player didn't feel like much of a game to me. I mean, one hell of an interactive story but nothing I did mattered. I mean it was as "on rails" as it could have been without actually forcing you to move (which it did plenty of times). You could essentially get through all areas just by sprinting to the checkpoint area and like past CoD games the enemies would infinitely respawn until you did (unless it was a; survive x amount of time or clear x amount of bad guys situation). There were several plot fails along the way. Spoiler Yuri was with Makarov basically up until the 'No Russian' thing...if he knew he was a prick after the detonate a nuclear device in a village thing then why not just put a bullet in him then...when you're alone with the guy. How da **** did the Russian President get from directly behind the two security people to way the hell down the path. The game sometimes mentions it being WW3...it's not so much a world war as Russia somehow owning every other country. Even in WW2 Hitler had Japan and Italy on its side in the war (I don't count African terror groups as a power). Soap is a god damn *****, dude is mortally wounded at the end of the first game, the second game, half way through the third game, then dies near the end. Price survives a room blowing up that he was directly outside of yet Soap gets mortally wounded from a fall (That Yuri survives with just a slight limp for about 2 minutes). At the very end when the helicopter goes haywire (because apparently helicopters do that when you kill the pilots) Price ends up badly hurt and Makarov walks out...barely hurt? Like, I get what they were going for with this global crisis but when these chapters are each like half and hour long and you're constantly being shot at from every god damn angle (even when you're in cover) its kind of hard to enjoy the views of the different locals. Basically the only time you even notice you're in other countries is the between level cutscenes and the occasional cinematic moments within the levels (Eiffel Tower going down). The last thing I noticed is your teammates suck at cover fire. They literally hit nothing. I had like 10 or so troops in one area, there were about 3 or 4 bad guys in front of us. I waited for 15 minutes and they didn't kill a single one of the bad guys. The even worse case (and I can't imagine anyone beating the last level on Veteran) in the last level when its just Yuri and Price...Yuri can't kill anything. You have to get to the other side the floor you're on with like 50 bad guys in your way and other than the rare occasion a bad guy gets close to Yuri and he knifes the dude he didn't kill a single person with his gun. I must have restarted from the same spot like 20 times before I did it the more cautious way (mind you I'm playing on normal). I'll give spec ops a try tomorrow and the multiplayer is the multiplayer, I'll probably have little problem with that. Just pretty disappointed with the single player. I realize it was Call of Duty's style but it just left me with an impression that I didn't actually do a damn thing the whole time.
I'm going to be honest, I have no idea what Makarov's motivation was. It was never really defined at all.
New Map pack for ELITE premiums, These new maps are a lot better than what came with the game. They remind me of Call of Duty: WaW, whether you consider this a plus or a negative means little to me. That game had the best maps with some of the worst weapons and perks.
I've done a run through on both, and I have to agree (not with the WaW comparison) that the geometry present here is pretty breathtaking and creative, to say the least. I've seen little tid-bits of some of the others on the way they appear to be equally as creative.
