i agree that up to 64 players would be awsome finally i can make an awsome d-day map having 32 players running up the beach while being shelled and pellted by fire and i also think forgable firefight would by awsome but some things like pelicans that can be driven is kind of unfair. an example is the team that has the pelican also has all of the power weapons the other team dosen't stand a chance. so only basic changes but only things that make things fair and prevent one team from having to much of an advantage!
I would like VIP back or just add kill and goal points to Race. Also enable Teams for race. That way we can play Battle Tracks the correct way again.
Crop tool in forge. copy/paste tool in forge. changing textures of objects. Objects that don't look bad when merged because of the textures. Skybox options. Hitscan BR killing in 12 shots/4 entire bursts, so that you have to hit all three shots of all four bursts for a 4-shot. Frag grenades with longer fuse and less damage and slightly smaller blast radius, like the H2 ones The GL. The Needle rifle. Default maps designed by people who don't suck at designing maps. A few good BTB maps made by people who didn't make Paradiso.
I'd want the elephant back and able to be edited along with a scarab. Also another thing just like forge world. New weapons, New vehicles, and some better maps.
i want to see these or something like them: these were supposed to be in halo 2. oh, and a snowy forgeworld with Sidewinder!!
I was going to post my reply in this thread but realized it was too lengthy and decided to put it in a blog post instead... http://www.forgehub.com/forum/blogs/blackout8six/3517-12-days-forge-christmas.html
I totally agree. Also different types of armor should effect gameplay like one might might make you run faster while another might give you more health
64 players could get too chaotic. In order to prevent players from congregating and focusing their firepower (an effective tactic that would unfortunately make infantry battles frustrating), maps could be divided into isolated sections, but that would defeat the purpose. Imagine how insignificantly one player would be able to affect a match. Many players don't communicate let alone try to coordinate with their team (besides sticking close to teammates, such as synchronizing attacks from more than one direction), but a 32 player team would be a challenge to competitive parties as well because a single chatline would become incoherent. I would like more settings for spawning in any vehicle in any gametype. Massive Banshee dogfights! The BR scope should not be affected by fire. I can understand why a sniper is descoped under fire, but the outcome of a dmr fight is dependent on who fires the first shot and keeps the opponent unable to see far enough. In the current system, assuming perfect accuracy, the loser is able to take the first shooter's shields off at mid-range (no scope) yet inflict no damage at very long range when getting to cover is not an option (big maps). While scoped in, shields should be visible while the motion sensor should remain invisible. A scoped-in player should be as aware of whether he/she is taking damage as when he/she is not scoped in. If they can find a way to make a player lead a hitscan BR while actually modelling the speed of BR projectiles in order to mitigate the effect of lag while adding a skill factor and reducing the power of extremely-long range BRing, they should do it. I'm not so sure that I know what I'm talking about, but perhaps every player's xbox could model its player's own br projectile trajectory and enemy movement in real time while the host still recieves the message of a player being hit and suffering damage, as in hitscan. You would recieve player's positions with latency, but you would hit enemies as expected based on your screen after bullet speed is factored in. Bullets could even fall too, in accordance with real physics, such that one would have to lead ahead AND up. EDIT: I would also like the aim assist in the form of look magnetism removed while the look deceleration remains in place. There needs to be something to make an unscoped sniper rifle harder to use, and I think everyone's pretty used to look deceleration by now, so we should keep it (not that I would mind if they took that out and lowered the unscoped SR rof), but having a target pull your reticle as it moves across your reticle is absurd. It's slightly aiming for you. It's messed up my rockets a few times because I was trying to aim at the player's feet but the player jumped and dragged my reticle up.
This this this. If there are armor abilities, I will not buy the game. I miss Halo 3 and what made Halo 3 awesome. Relying on skill instead of luck to win a game.
Loadouts are a bigger offender than Armor Abilities to be honest. Not to say that the individual AAs aren't broken, though.
True, I think they should go back to camo and overshield being pickups, and maybe adding new PICKUPS. you should not start with the ability, you should have to work for it.
-Undo and redo buttons in Forge -A cropping tool in Forge -A copy and paste tool in Forge -A new Forge World with a LOT less framerate issues -No armor abilities, at least not in the main gametypes -No bloom -Faster movement and higher jump than in Reach -Better Matchmaking playlists -More community maps in Matchmaking, take some out and add more frequently -VIP -More complex gametype options -No custom file limit (you can have as much as you can fit on your hard drive) -Make Firefight a survival mode again like in ODST, not a ten-minute target practice
Beyond anything else, i'd like to see the addition of an actual map maker. Forge, despite all of the miracles we've managed to pull out of it, is hardly more than a glorified map editor. That said, I don't want to see forge gone entirely, it would still have a place beside the map creation mode. But it would exist as a compliment to it, or just a starting point for our maps. Give us all the "pieces" and what not, while also allowing us to add/manipulate textures and geometry. I can't count how many times I wish I could take a texture from one peice, and paint it on another. Or not have to restrict my terrain maps to what is already there. Other than that, I would like to see the gameplay remain largely the same. I'm all for progressing the series, and what not. But I love Halo because it's Halo. If changes MUST be made, they had better be unique changes that improve the Halo experience. Not just copied and pasted mechanics from COD, or Gears ect. ect. EDIT: Oh yes, almost forgot... If forgeable firefight doesn't ship on the disk, I will be horribly, horribly disappointed. Since it was announced for ODST, i've wanted to craft my own such experiences. And i know that there are a legion of forgers out there who feel the same way. 343i has been pretty good so far about listening to us fans. Hopefully they will continue to listen, and give us this much craved option.
Trying to think of things no one else said, A radius on lights, of how much a light will illuminate the atmosphere.
