The blades want to exterminate an entire race Spoiler dragons The College of Bards wants to sing us to death. Stormcloaks killed a king in name of rebellion. Imperials are basically pulling what america did and just sitting in another country because they are "at war" Silver hand hates all things lycanthropic. Aldmeri dominion sits at the side waiting for everthing to blow over so they can rush in and conquer everything. Greybeards are chilling in their mountain temple doing god knows what with their time. Kahjiit are selling skooma and moon sugar Basically, pick your poison. Nobody is good.
the brotherhood does not derive power from or worship any daedric lords. "Sithis is neither Aedra nor Daedra. He is described as being everything terrible, but nothing at all; a void. A strange being, he is appeased through death, (though not being a god of death) and other acts of suffering that appease the Daedric Lords. According to The Brothers of Darkness, he is "married" to The Night Mother, and the Dark Brotherhood are their metaphorical children." however, they are obviously still evil haha. speaking of the guilds, they are one area of skyrim i find lacking. mostly just that they are way shorter, but i also thought the questlines were just way better in oblivion. I liked a lot how the oblivion thieves guild had the whole robin hood type thing going, but the skyrim thieves guild are just greedy bastards. and while the dark brotherhood was still pretty evil in oblivion, that was just such an amazing questline with awesome quests. the one where you were locked in that party mansion and had to kill all the other guests was probably my favorite quest in any elder scrolls game.
I completely agree with you in every way, and if you check the shoutbox, thats my argument! Every part of the DB questline was a rip of some amazing horror novel, we need more. Seriously! The quests in Skyrim are pissing me off with the lack of story that made the other two so ****ing epic.
But arent the members in the Dark Brotherhood assassins for hire? Whatever they do is because they were hired to do so, whether its good or evil, right? (Skyrim is my first elder scrolls game. I swear Fallout 3 and Skyrim are the best games I've played for Xbox 360 so far) Some of you guys were also making the point that no guild is actually "good".
I'll state my thoughts in D&D terms. Should be easier to understand which are inherently bad and otherwise. Companions: Lawful Neutral College of Winterhold: Neutral Blades: Chaotic Neutral Dark Brotherhood: Lawful Evil Thieves Guild: Chaotic Neutral Stormcloaks: Chaotic Good Imperials: Chaotic Good Greybeards: Neutral Good
I come to the conclusion that there is a certain point while having daedric gear that you become a god of death and impervious to death. I say this because I am only level 24 and can take on 2 giants at the same time now. Daedric Warhammer + paralyze enchant = The banhammer. Kills everything it can actually hit. Kills blood dragons in 5 hits on master dificulty.
not exactly. the dark brotherhood you join in skyrim is essentially a bunch of assassins for hire, but the real dark brotherhood was actually a bit more complicated. they worshiped Sithis and the night mother as like a religion, and they killed people not just for the money, but also to serve sithis and the killing pleased sithis. by the the end of the skyrim dark brotherhood questline Spoiler you restore it to its former ideals. so its pretty evil
It's been a while since I've played Skyrim for more than an hour or so. I haven't beaten the main quest or even done half of the faction quests or miscellaneous crap, but I don't know, it just isn't holding me in like Morrowind or Oblivion did. I'm tired of facing endless waves of draugr and annoying dragons. To be honest, seeing even one cliffracer instead of a dragon would actually make me happy. The dragons in Skyrim are more annoying to me than cliffracers ever were. There seems to be far less variety in enemies, the NPCs in terms of how many of each race are represented, and weapons and armor. The game to me has been a major disappointment. I've enjoyed the game quite a bit, though, and I'd still call it a great game.
Wrong. Iron warhammer + Fire damage = BanHammer. Morrowind:Unique Weapons - UESPWiki Come at Morrowind, bro.
Oh, well maybe D&D terms wasn't the best way to describe to you then. Chaotic means that they do what they want, Lawful means they obey the law or the rules that they believe in. Lawful good is as good as something can get, while Chaotic evil is as bad as something can be.
How are the Blades chaotic when they are dragon hunters? How are the DB lawful when they no longer obey the tenants of Sithis?
The blades do as they wish, they have no remaining code or anything, hence chaotic. DB is lawful because they still follow with the rules laid out by the leader of the DB, and then later go back to following the tenants or close to it. Basically the difference is one has rules, the other doesn't. You can't be chaotic AND follow rules, you can't be lawful and not follow them. I only said chaotic neutral for blades because its closer to that than full neutral IMO. Will add some quotes here for reference on this too. It's more a stretch to call the blades chaotic neutral than it is to call DB lawful evil.
Daedric Boots/Gauntlets enchanted with Resist Magic 37% & Fortify 1 Handed 40% Daedric Armor enchanted with Fortify Heavy Armor 30 and Fortify Block 50% Spellbreaker With my shield up, I am immune to all forms of magic, shouts included. With my Daedric War Axe of 25 Fire % Shock damage, I can deal upwards of 700 damage, which gets capped at about 665. My Armor rating is at 876, but the cap is at 585 (80% resistance) Like a motherfucking boss.
