On top of that, you can do it while you're not detected. So if you walk up behind someone, (Let's say a Guard if you've broken out of jail) and put a bucket on their head, they don't notice, and you can casually stroll out of there.

I will now venture onward to create an army of bucket-heads. Though I have a question, does the bucket stay on their head after you leave and come back? If so... then some shops are gonna lose ALOT of merchandise.

    Nice Fizz avatar btw.

Also, while on the topic of buckets, what other easter eggs (assuming it's an easter egg) have you guys found?

i would call it a glitch, not an easter egg.

The only major easter eggs ive found would be the notched pickaxe, the sword chillrend from oblivion, and a cave where there is a skeleton hanging upside down with a glowing sword on the ground near him (star wars reference). im sure there are plenty more, and ive encountered other, more subtle ones not really worth mentioning

Hmm... easter eggs... Lets see, well the Twilight Sepulcher reminded me heavily of Indiana Jones and the Lost crusade along with other bits of those movies. Dragonbane looks like an Akaviri Katana from Oblivion. The meeting with Sheogorath seems a bit inspired by Alice in wonderland. East Empire Company = East India Company. All the ones I can think of that I encountered.

Dragonbane looks like an Akavari Katana because it is a model of the "BLADES SWORD," (you can find a copy on the far right of the blades girl's secret room,) and if you payed any attention to anything ever, the blades are descended from the DragonGuard, an elite squadron of Akavari Warriors. Plus, the Blades Sword is used by the blades, just like the Akavari Sword. So DUH it looks the same, because it IS THE SAME! :O

East Empire = East India, aka Britain, a great EMPIRE. Their armor, history, and military formations are inspired by Rome/Greece in EVERY way, everything from officer ranks (Legate, seriously? not subtle at all...) to Tiber/Uriel Septim (Alexander/Octavian)

I found a skeleton hanging upside down frozen to the ceiling of an ice cave reaching for a green sword. The inhabitants of said cave were ice trolls.

That's like claiming the Battle Rifle is an easter egg in Halo 3 because it looks like a gun from Halo 2.

    Just saiyan... :p

I dont see what your argument is...

yes, the east empire company is supposed to be a reference to the east india company, that is an easter egg. and yes, the Empire of tamriel is supposed an extreme parallel to the roman (not so much greek) empire, thats not supposed to be subtle. but i dont know what you are trying to say about britain in there... other than the fact that the east india company was british. were you even trying to make some sort of argument or just stating some facts?

The Empire is a parallel to two of the greatest empires. That is all there is to it.

    No, its not.

You actually have to look around to find these, there is no main quest bound to force you to find Dragonbane and still you have to put two and two together to realize its the Akaviri Katana. Sure, its not hard, but you have to know about the Akaviri katana and the blades prior to finding it, making it an easter egg for those players that actually payed attention to the previous games. Would someone playing Skyrim as their first elder scrolls game know that it was the same sword? No, they wouldn't. This just reinforces my point, okay?

Now the East Empire Company, well, most people should understand the reference. But still, it isn't something that is referenced in lore or anything else. It is up to the player to make that connection to real life, again making it an easter egg.

EDIT: TLDR; my point is, if it is something that you have to have prior knowledge of something else to understand, it is an easter egg. It doesn't really matter how obvious you think it is, some people don't know what you do, and therefor won't make the same connections as you.

another star wars one i just remembered:

    if you have
the ghost of lucien lachance, from the the dark brotherhood questline (which is an easter egg itself, actually),
he will sometimes say "i feel a disturbance in the void" like the well known jedi quote

also, that tree in whiterun, i forget what its called, seems to be a reference the the White Tree of Gondor in LOTR

I agree with you completely on the East Empire Country.

I'm saying that calling Dragonbane an 'easter egg' isn't correct as much as calling it 'canon' would be. The fact that the Akavari were dragon fighters, part of the two prior games, and have every reason for that weapon to be there supports it; I would have been more surprised had it NOT taken the shape of a Blades Sword (which, like I said, was in the game.) Easter Egg implies a breaking of canon, a strange anomaly, a joke, etc; not merely something that requires prior knowledge. Finding a secret, powerful weapon in a location that nearly demands its form be similar to another does not make an Easter egg, it makes it a secret weapon.

"Easter Egg - A virtual Easter egg is an intentional hidden message or an in-joke in a work such as a computer program, web page, video game, movie, etc."

    ^ Agree

An easter egg has to reference something outside of the game world. Dragonbane is essentially lore.

    It's a lore, essentially.
