750 watts and up should be a good range. 500-1300 Would be where you should aim. Make sure you get a ported box, sealed boxes aren't as loud. Make sure the place where you get your amp installed at are going to be using 4 gauge wiring. Verify that you get a 1 year warranty with that place and if their labor to install it also gives a warranty. Avoid offbrand amps that advertise a ridiculous amount of power but are really low in cost. The rule of thumb is typically 50 cents through a dollar per watt. So a 500 watt amp (True watts) should minimally be sold a about 350-500 bucks.
Okay, first.. I have two 15s that each can handle like 2000w. Shouldn't I be looking at a 4000w amp? And car audio installation is stupid easy. I would never take it somewhere. EDIT: Scratch that. I read the informational packet wrong. 2000w a piece is a lie.
You know I was thinking of the good old days when I would wake up, grab some sugary cereal and watch cartoons. Then I remembered I was eating chocolate rice krispies while watching Family Guy on Hulu. I don't think much has changed.
I want to watch Avatar, but last time I tried I just couldn't watch those "kiddy" moments in the show. Should I give it another go because that trailer looked sooooo ****ing awesome
The show evolves. The first season is more "kiddy" than the others, and even by the end of the first season it seems like a different show. They still have some kiddy moments throughout the second and third seasons, but the action, story, and charm of the characters are what make the show great. It's just a show that gets better as it goes, imo. Also, if it's any bonus, it's one of the few finales that left me completely satisfied. So there's something to look forward to.
Your comps are a single voice coil, entry level woofer. Of course they can handle that much, but you're going to blow them out in he first 6 months if you have them at 2000w each. 4000w is waaayyyyy too much for those subs, and even if you have them blasting with a 4000w amp, you're not even going to hear anything else besides bass. Best amps below a thousand bucks? Stick with a JL Audio.
