Im taking a vow to never fast travel once I get to level 50. That way I can at least ensure I have gear appropriate for any situation I might predict myself facing. Currently only level 42 though, so I think it will be a bit till I hit 50
full enchanted/blacksmith-upgraded daedric armor means I'm OP for anything. why couldn't you do that with the black star?
I could have, I'm just a purist when it comes to my Daedric artifacts. I like them the way they were originally. Same reason I chose the Ring of Hircine rather than the other artifact you can get from Hircine.
That's a little stupid, considering if you had opted for the Black Soul Star, the only difference would be you can take Human souls too. Each to his own. Now that I have Shadowmere, I've completely stopped fast travelling, unless I'm over encumbered. It's added quite a lot to the game, and I'm leveling slower (Which is good, because I'm level 46). And god damn, the Dark Brotherhood missions are some of the funnest in the game, and now that I've started sneaking with Mehrune's Razor and my Soul Trap Enchanted Daedric bow, the game has gotten a lot funner. >Enter ruin >Aura shout >Sneak kill like a boss. Rinse and repeat=Super fun time. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Xbox 360 News: Skyrim DLC revealed? Morrowind's Solstheim, Vvardenfell and Cyrodiil's Imperial City found on disc - Xbox 360 - The Official Magazine Now, this could be stuff just left there for modding purposes, or could have been test areas or anything, but still, we can speculate.
My Azura's star doesnt work. Its always empty, and wont ever trap a soul. Regardless of what it is. Of all the bugs, i get the worst.
Mine work fine, except when you put staffs in them. Sometimes I come home and the staff is gone, other times it's the other side of the room... R.I.P Skull of Corruption.
More speculation; but when you do the Daedric Quest for Sheogorath, he says "You should drop by the shivering isles.." Possibly a revisit?
It's not. It's a bug. i can't use my weapon racks either yet my brother can and he's on the same Xbox as me. Just wait for an update.
No, pretty sure having two 8 pound glitched quest staffs in your inventory trumps that. I've had them for 30 levels and the guy I'm supposed to give them to doesn't have the dialogue option to turn them in. But that does suck, because I love Azura's Star. Also, maybe you just didn't turn it in? Because it comes broken until you take it back to the shrine of azura or to the guy at winterhold to fix it.
Anyone else really tempted to kill Cicero? Also, anyone encountering a glitch where a bunch of dead empty dragons spawn and glitch all up? I find like two all the time at Winterhold. They are also empty
Spoiler No, i finished the quest with the purist approach and all, killed the loser hiding in it to make it nice for Azura again, and then it just sits there. Pretty lame.
Spoiler ehh.. you should have made the black star. I've been having the same problem and I think you need to have a soul trap spell to use or an enchanted weapon that traps the soul for it to work. I hope for both our sakes that it's not a glitch. also, for anyone who thinks that 50 is the level cap... you're wrong. "Game director Todd Howard stated that the game's "mathematical" level cap is 70; however, the Prima Official Game Guide states the level cap is "around 80." http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/...yrim#Leveling_Up.2C_Classes_.26_Customization
Azura Spoiler Spoiler So I haven't completed the Azura's Star quest yet, but it's sitting in my quest log. Question: If I choose to not give the star back to Azura, I'll receive the black star, which can hold humanoid or "black" souls. To my understanding, these are just as good as grand souls. So, are you saying I could get the black star, kill a random bandit with one of my conjured weapons (I have the perk where they automatically cast soul trap) and have a grand soul that easily?
Soft level cap at 50, hard level cap at 81 due to maxing out all skills. By soft level cap I mean it takes more to level. That means 80 of 250+ perks. Choose wisely.
I've heard so many people say that, yet i have zero intention of getting all of my skills to 100 on a single character. On a weirder note. I think i'm close to 100 hours on a few different characters. I just found my first treasure map. And then i found a second, not more than 15 minutes walk away..
