Download Here Hollow is a fully balanced, multi-layered free-for-all arena where the action never stops. Each floor is easily accessible. You can choose to jump down to a lower floor or get to the top floor using the lift - it's conveniently placed at the side of the arena. We've placed each of the many different weapons, grenades, and pieces of equipment with balance in mind, so everyone has an equal chance at winning. The key to survival on Hollow is to keep moving and nabbing the power weapons. ^ Hollow from outside The majority of the map is almost a cube. It has three levels. The upper floors are composed of fence walls so you can see and shoot through them. In the center of each upper floor is a hole for players to jump down to. Three of the corners are banked to bounce grenades off of. The fourth wall is see-through so sunlight can get into the arena. Outside you can see some aesthetic features, that is if you ever get a chance to look outside. Weapons and equipment are scattered around the level; there is always a weapon within reach. On the 1st floor there is a lift which can take players up to the 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor, there is a shotgun room that is accessible through two hallways. The corners are also banked in here too. Good luck! Items: ^ Power weapon locations (please click that tan resize bar so you can read the words) Locations of the power weapons: Power Weapons (one of each): Fuel Rod Gun - 1st floor, opposite grav lift Sentinel Beam* - 2nd floor Needler* - 2nd floor Brute Shot - 3rd floor, opposite grav lift Shotgun - Shotgun room (3rd floor) Overshield - 2nd floor, inside lift path (go up lift to obtain) *The Sentinel Beam and Needler are opposite of one another. The power weapons are spread out evenly on the map, have low ammo, and have long respawn times (1.5+ mins.) so a single player can not be overpowering for long. The key is to keep getting a power weapon as often as possible. Other weapons: 2 x SMG - One in either hallway to shotgun room 1 x Magnum - 3rd floor 1 x Plasma Pistol - 3rd floor 2 x Plasma Rifle - 1st floor 2 x Battle Rifle - At either side of grav lift exit The other weapons on the map have lots of ammunition and relatively short (~30 sec.) respawn times. Grenades: 2 x Frag Grenades - 3rd floor 2 x Plasma Grenades - 1st floor by grav lift 2 x Firebomb Grenades - One in either hallway to shotgun room The grenades on the map, although few, are very devastating if used correctly because players are constantly close to each other. Yes, there will be many sticks, but not too many. ^ Using the banked corners Equipment (one of each): Grav Lift - 1st floor, center Radar Jammer - 1st floor Flare - 1st floor Regenerator - 2nd floor Bubble Shield - 2nd floor Trip Mine* - 3rd floor, attached to wall in corner Power Drain* - 3rd floor, attached to wall in corner *Trip Mine and Power Drain are opposite each other. The equipment is for countering the disadvantages of being on each floor: 1st floor - Most vulnerable Grav Lift - An alternative to going up the lift Radar Jammer - Prevent lift campers from using their radar to judge when you come up the lift Flare - Gives you a safe trip to the 3rd floor as everyone is blinded (the light basically covers the entire map) 2nd floor - Attacked from top and bottom Regenerator - Take on more enemies at once Bubble Shield - Forces enemies to come to you 3rd floor - Busiest spot on the map Trip Mine - Weakens enemies Power Drain - Weakens enemies Notes: -To get the overshield, you must go through the lift. The overshield spawns every 3 minutes and doesn't spawn at the start. -The grav lift can get you to the 3rd floor. -You can affect where you land coming out of the lift by moving in a certain direction. Experiment with it. -The three solid arena corners and the corners in the shotgun room/halls are banked, allowing you to get grenades to enemies around corners. -Yes, you will die very quickly. Keep moving! Pictures: Note that all action shots were taken from one game! Download Here
looks like a very well planned out map, nice idea with the three levels, power weapons looked to be adequately spaced out for some mayhem. Looking forward to your next map.
I honestly didn't this map. THere is only like one way up from the bottom, the central areas are too small, and I just didn't like how it felt. I am sure I will be happy with your future maps, but this layout is very basic and just doesn't function well. At least it looks very neat and when you are playing there aren't any "unwanted bumps" or toe stubbing.
Yay! The first ICE map. I liked playing on it, although it felt a little cramped at sometimes. A lot of fun though, glad it was finally finished.
Way to go Drago on the First Ever Ice Cold Entertainment Map. I personally endorse this map in every fashion (being that I helped create it.) The Gameplay is wonderful and a great download for anyone.
This looks really good, though i wonder, should this be in competitive or casual? it looks more like a really fun game, vs a serious, competitive match...
I wouldnt go so far to say that it would be intense for large parties. More like annoying, with the amount of spawn killing that will occur, its likely to have repetitive gameplay.
Is there any way that spawn killing can be alleviated besides making the map larger? But yes, I have to admit spawn killing is a real problem for large groups. The largest group that should be used on here is around 5.
