Thats because you don't have the code from buying Halo CEA... unlike me. :D

Did you not notice it's 2^32-1 which means it's just the maximum value to prevent anyone from buying it without the unlock code.

You can buy the map pack now. If you don't want Anniversary, but you do want the new maps you can do that. They're 1200 MS points.

Or you can buy a code off ebay but in the end it is probably more expensive then just paying for it with microsoft points or even just buying Halo CEA.

Stupid question, but just to be clear: The maps come with CEA ODST style, right?

You get the 7 maps (AND NO MORE) on the disc and a code for the 7 maps if you wish to download them so you can play them while using the Reach disc.

Ummm... maybe... what do you mean exactly by ODST style? Are you referring to the mythical map pack for Halo 3?

He means ODST came with a multiplayer disc which included every Halo 3 map released.

CEA doesn't come with the maps from Reach.

As long as you buy a new copy.

    I would have thought that's a given.

It's a shame that the reports of being able to install Reach and play original/DLC maps off the CEA disk didn't turn out to be true. That would have been a nicer alternative to the code imo, but I'm still pretty happy.

the maps are all good if didn't get aniversary i would still get the map pack for 1200 points considering that the black ops map packs cost the same amount and this is a bit off topic but has anyone realised that if you get anniversary you automatically get the general elite armour cause my freind is only a captain and he has it WTF

    lol

I don't know why they didn't just include the Reach maps on CEA. This only results in me buying the map pack instead of the game... I'll just play CE and pretend the graphics are better.

I doubt there's enough disk space, especially if you factor in the two DLCs (and including the Reach maps but not the two DLCs would be a bit harsh). I know they could have done an ODST style two disk set, but I guess they had a problem with doing this again.

They already commented on that and it's indeed a problem with the disc space. Adding the entire Reach multiplayer and its maps would require another disc to go with it and that would result in a more expensive game (Like ODST).

Was that how they justified the increased price of ODST? If so then yeah, I'd prefer it this way round. I'd rather not pay an extra £10 just to have the convenience of maps which I do still have in some form, especially since the code system means I can still play them all from one disk anyway.
