It's a clear, starlit night in the hotsprings of Eastmarch. A dragon circles its bone-strewn perch in the center of the valley, and I descend from the mountains to claim its soul. I sneak my way to a small group of trees near a giant's encampment when the dragon takes notice of all the movement. I track the beast with my bow as it circles us, choosing shots carefully until it lands in the camp to go head to head with a mammoth. I close the gap like motherfucking Legolas as the creatures exchange blows, emptying my quiver with dexterous ease. As I unsheathe my ebony blade to secure the kill, the weakened dragon turns its attention to me, greeting me with a hearty belch of flame. I nimbly sidestep and execute a finishing move, causing the camera to shift to the side of the dragon's head. As I leap onto the wyrm in slo-mo, a giant lunges at it in the background, bringing the full force of his club down on the beast's neck. The camera moves back to the center and out while I begin the animation of slashing at the head, and the dragon continues to struggle as the giant's quiet power rains down from one side and the formidable tusks of the mammoth impale the beast from the other. With a final stab, the dragon is slain, and I hop off of the carcass to absorb the soul as Skyrim's native wildlife looks on under the moonlight.
Level 33. Glass Bow. Dragonscale Armour. I feel awesome. Now, I'm getting my enchanting up because I have a Fortify Archery enchantment I wanna put on my armour. :,]
If it weren't for the possible 15x bonus from sneak, I would rub it in your face that my Daedric Greatsword does 174, plus 16 fire.
The sneak bonus for bows would make his do 201... just saying, that's higher than 174. (though I would hope the 174 is prior to the 15 times bonus) With that said, I have level 88 archery and my Nightingale bow does 44 damage with the effect of freezing the target for 25 points and shocking them for 12 points. Total of 81 damage. With the sneak bonus it puts my damage at 243. (Assuming effect damage is tripled as well. If it isn't then I do 169.)
It's only a downfall if I use all of it before I kill them, once they are dead I just pick it all back up again and repeat the process of killing. (perk to collect loads of arrows from corpses) EDIT: Spoiler I also find it hilarious that I killed the emperor for the dark brotherhood and am working with the imperial legion in the civil war.
Uh... it took me 37 levels to run out of ancient nord arrows. I'm now on my ever growing set of iron arrows, which is numbered at like 376 atm.
exactly my point, I end up gaining more arrows than I use, just from fighting random enemies exploring, then you add the ones from dungeons. Too many arrows to use up.
Also, I should note that I'm a sneaky tank motherfucker. If I don't take someone out with arrows, I can beat them to **** with my fire spell/ebony sword + heavy armor combo. Bitches don't mess with me.
everyone seems really hardcore while all my skills are spread really thinly, whats everyone's levels?
now level 40. Focusing on leveling skills that are effected by the standing stone you chose in the beginning helps alot. In fact, the only thing I've leveled that isn't helped by the thief stone is archery because they changed it to a combat skill for skyrim rather than stealth. Even though it still is great with stealth)
Because all the things that you need to level smithing are in 15' of each other, if you don't mind buying all of your materials.
