End of Days Campaign [Update] *Act 9 now in post Welcome to my preview. Sit down, help yourself to some tea, we've got lots of ground to cover. End of Days Campaign Gameplay Trailer - YouTube [size=+2]ACT I[/size] ACT 1: EMERGENCY Spoiler "30 minutes ago, a patient with a unique string of rabies was moved to the ER. He then went berserk, infecting three people." Act 1 is a CQC map set in a hospital with a creepy, desolate environment. ACT 2: HEAVY CASUALTIES Spoiler "The infection has already spread around the state. FEMA has failed to save the survivors." Act 2 is a large-scale Rifte-esque journey map which is set in a metropolis overrun by the infection. ACT 3: ON THE DEFENSE Spoiler "FEMA has failed, and the US Military has been deployed, but are being overrun. Hold the line." Act 3 is set on a large cable-stayed bridge, where the military got caught by infected while advancing on the city. ACT 4: THE HARDER THEY FALL... Spoiler "The Air Force is making evac rounds along the East cost. Task Force survivors are making a push up the Dunwhich Tower to evac on the roof." Act 4 is a massive journey map, set in a derelict skyscraper in Philadelphia. ACT 5: OUR SHIP IS BEYOND SAVING Spoiler "The pilot was infected, and crash landed on the USS Truman, just off the coast of Maryland." Act 5 is another enormous journey map set on an Aircraft carrier during the late stages of the war. Infected are everywhere, even at sea. ACT 6: DEFCON 1 Spoiler "DEFCON 1 has been declared. Defend D.C. at all costs." Act 6 is set in Washington D.C. as the ultimatum in the war begins. DEFCON 1 was declared, and missiles are in the air. ACT 7: TOTAL ANNIHILATION Spoiler "The missiles that were launched are coming back down... You'll know when it hits." Act 7 is a journey map set in a fallout shelter during the nuclear attack on infected. ACT 8: END OF DAYS Spoiler "Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide." Act 8 is set in a post-nuclear Washington D.C. after survivors emerge from the fallout shelter and find the attack wasn't as successful as hoped... [size=+2]ACT II[/size] *This has just been started, I will update the post with maps until all four are complete. ACT 9: OUT HERE ON THE LINE Spoiler "America has fallen, but NATO forces across Europe still stand, and are taking the offense.." That Washington D.C. map looks incredible. Same for the Bridge map, and the Skyscraper, and for... well... everything. It looks great, and the trailer you made was very entertaining to watch. Can't wait to play them.
I personally am not a fan of infection. But after seeing this, that may change. This is just incredable. Each one has a specific theme. I really like that. You've pretty much brought Left 4 Dead to Halo. This is awesome.
Thanks, everyone seems to like that map for some reason. And that was my first attempt at a trailer ever, using Windows Movie Maker. It turned out ok though, I guess.
I had a blast playing these maps. You have a wonderful mix of aesthetics and gameplay on every one of these maps. The theme is very easy to pick up on and after playing #1 you can't stop. You just have to play the rest. My personal favorite was Act 4: The Harder They Fall. This map was just amazing! The broken window looked great. Nice job
Thanks, glad to know someone (besides myself and people I know) have played them. Act 4 was very time consuming though.. needless to say it took several months to finish and perfect.
I remember playing on one or two of these maps and thought they were well done. I didnt realize that they were part of a huge campaign like this. I am very impressed. As I will be heading up the infection side of things on THFE it would be pretty interesting to make a series of featured videos out of this.
I really like: the Harder they fall, on the defense, and defcon 1. Really nice looking maps. Now are you going to release all the maps at once or are you going to release the maps individually over a certain amount of time?
Wow... these all look so amazing. The aesthetics are spot on in every map and Im just hoping the gameplay is as fun as it looks. Amazing work!
Alright. Well I only asked because via releasing each one at a time it might make it feel more like a series (with episodes) rather then a large number of maps. but that is my personal opinion. Hey ummm... do you think you might be able to provide more screenshots on the inside of the skyscraper in The harder they fall?
Woah. Very impressive. I believe I have seen Act 3 before, but little did I know that it was part of a large campaign. The way each map has it's own theme and feel is difficult to pull off, but based off your pics I think you succeeded. Due to my lack of high-speed internet I can't give any criticism on gameplay, which I apologize for. However, I would like to say that the work you put into this project really shows. Good work.
I've never gotten a chance to play each map, Zop, but the ones I've played look amazing. I remember you took me through the bunker map in Forge, and the little story-related surprise you had in there was clever! I'll have to see if I can find customs to play them all in.
Nice job, dude, everything looks great. I can't think of anything you could improve on (aesthetic-wise). You should post the player stats to make sure both zombies and humans are balanced. You don't want to make the same mistake most infection forgers do and leave all the fun to the survivors.
