    Not exactly.
The tutorial involves one or the other, but that has no effect on the rest. Otherwise you must choose a side to be set on.

Yeah, i have the level 2 fire and frost shouts; they are ****ing insane, take down half a drough-overlord's health on master (or like, a tickle of a blood dragon.)

Anyone found the third Marked for Death shout? I got the one from the cave that the Greybeards send you to and the one in the dark brotherhood sanctuary, but even after 20-some-odd words i cant find it, which is sad because its so OP.

Freaking ELDER SCROLLS WIKI! Really? Dammit!

Don't go on there, they don't block their spoilers. I was on the UESP site looking up the different dragon shouts, when I found one that summoned a dragon. So I googled it to find out about it, the led to the ES wiki. I saw on the bottom a couple of links to other dragons, one I have fought and one I knew nothing about.

I now know who the leader of the Greybeards is. Damn it, I had the whole "Luke I am your father" thing ruined for me too, and that made me hate Star Wars for a while. If this makes me hate Skyrim I will hunt down whoever wrote that page and burn their house down, with lemons.

Is there somewhere you're can buy enchantments or can you only get enchantments by stripping them from your loot?

I believe there is someone at the College of Winterhold who can enchant items. I might be wrong though, he could just be a trainer.

I've played for about 30 hours now and of the major cities I have only gone to Whiterun, Windhelm, and Markarth. The amount of content is just staggering, like unbelievably so at times. It's simply impossible for me to lower the amount of quests I have. Everytime I complete one, I end up starting 2 or 3 new ones. At this rate, I'm guessing the game can easily reach 150 hours on a single playthrough. With three very distinct playstyles, that can go up to around 400-500 hours. If you include all the playable races as well as hybrid classes, and account for DLC down the road, this is seriously the most bang for your buck of any entertainment product I can think of.

45 hours in, still feel like I haven't even scratched the surface. The game is infinitely more satisfying when you don't fast travel; but you already knew that.

I only fast travel to sell items, because I don't like the idea of having to skip on epic items just because of weight. It's kind of funny, because I'll walk halfway across the map to a location and reach my carrying capacity as soon as I reach my destination. Then I'll fast travel in order to sell, and fast travel back to my quest location lol.

I usually fast travel, except when I'm too loaded down with dragon bones to run and do that. Only time I don't fast travel is when I really want to just explore and find stuff, basically any time im not on a quest.

    I gotta stop reading spoilers.

I just got that one twenty minutes ago. Problem is, I can't narrow down where. Two options:
Dragon burial site a little south of Riften (visible from the Shadow Stone)
    or
Dragon burial site a bit south of Ivarstead

The map that delphine/farengar have from like the third main quest, pick up delphines (in riverwood) and compare it to the regular map using the river between ivarstead and riften as the base for comparison. One is a mountainside fight, the other is a watchtower fight. I'm pretty sure I got it from the watchtower one, which was the one south of ivarstead.

However, I could be wrong and its at the burial site north of both of those, on the south side of the ridge. None of the three of them are tough to find.

Has anyone done the Lights Out quest that you get in Solitude?

I completed the whole thing without anyone seeing me once. I sniped like 30 people with my bow.. so satisfying.

I've been preoccupied with collecting all the daedric artifacts, those side quests have been some of the most interesting so far.

JUST got the wabbajack from sheogorath

Am I supposed to be finding those phrase walls everytime I kill a dragon? I've killed like 3 in the past hour with just absorbing their souls.

No, most dragons are just random, only some of them will have a word wall nearby, those are the ones actually marked on the map. I would know, I've got like 10 excess dragon souls and no words to spend them on.

I've done Lights Out, but it was actually one of the more uninteresting quests I've done so far.

I need to do more mining.

There's only specific places that you'll find word wall's where dragons are. When you're running around the world and you see a dragon head on your compass, there'll likely be a dragon resting up on a word wall. Otherwise, random encounters just reward you with dragon souls.
I don't really use fast travel at all. I'm over 20 hours in and I think I've on used FT maybe three times, and that was just to drop some weight. If I'm near my carry limit, I'll FT to Whiterun, where my house is, to drop off items I'd like to keep, or sell unwanted things, then FT back to where I previously was ans continue running around.

Running around is why I'm only just now finished Jurgen Windcallers tomb. I seriously ran all the way from Riverton, to Azura's Shrine, to Markarth, and then Whiterun. Took ages but I saw and experienced tonnes of awesome stuff along the way.

One thing I will say, although spoilered, has to do with Boethia...
I was running around exploring random ruins and encampments and stuff, and got randomly attacked by an NPC titled "Boethia Cultist". Killed him easily, but he had a book on him that detailed this nice little story about summoning Boethia and vaguely specific directions as to the location of Boethia's Shrine. Had to turn the Xbox off at that point, but I'm going to explore it next time I'm on, Boethia sounds like an interesting Daedra.

And something else, don't see it as spoilery, so I won't spoiler it. Was exploring more random ruins, and came across this place that looked like a broken down fort or castle. As I approached the entry archway, I saw a heavily armoured ghost running toward me, so I prepped for battle. As I bought up my shield, he ran straight past me but seemed to beckon me to follow, so I did. He ended up leading me to a small clearing where a few bandits had set up camp on what looked like a small shrine of some description. He just stood there and looked at me, and I couldn't talk to him, so I decided to go up and clear the bandits out, and search the area. Found out it was actually a small tomb, and there was a body inside with a small some of gold, a few gems and a couple of weapons. Went back up to see if the ghost had anything to say, but he was gone. Went back to the fort, but he wasn't there anymore, so I searched around and found a staff, some more gold and a few odds and ends. I thought that was a pretty interesting little random event, even though it didn't net me anything fantastic.

I made up my own little fiction to make it seem more fitting. The ghost was a warrior who was killed dishonourably by random thieves, who had also taken up residency at his burial grounds, and his angry soul could not rest until they were vanquished. After leading me to this place and defeating his enemies, he was satisfied, and rewarded me with his unneeded earthly possessions he left behind upon his departure from this plane of existence. Cool little things make this game so worth playing for me.

Just finished the Dark Brotherhood questline
Holy hell it was expensive to rebuild/furnish the new hideout for them too.
Now a question pertaining to crimson nirnroot
Did anyone else get the quest to find 30 of it in Blackreach?
    Aaaand one more.
Is there any way to become a werewolf without joining the companions and their werewolf people? I am dead set on never joining them on this character, but really want to be a werewolf.

I'm afraid i can only answer your third question...

no, you cannot become a werewolf without the aid of the companions but i don't see why you wouldn't want to join them

Does anyone know what the hell i'm to do with the elder scroll i have?

It's for the main quest. You could try sell it to the Orc book store owner in the College of Winterhold, but i only did that i finished the bit requiring it in the main quest.

I can't read any of this thread because 90% of it is spoilered -.-

On the brighter side of life, I don't have a ****ing clue where I'm going.

And Lydia got ambushed by five men... and not in the good way. She died, 15 minutes after I got her. What a ****.
