maybe i spend too much. i use all five training opportunities every level. and maybe i should just save up the five thousand for that one house in whiterun so i can have a place to store everyting. right now i just have to drop my least valuable/useful items when i get over my carry limit.

    Yeti's are not Frost Trolls.

Frost trolls are managable; yetis are sent straight from Hell.

Started a new character, which i am going to use for the thieves guild missions. She's an archer/thai boxer.

Are y'all talking about that ***** Lydia (I don't say that in a misogynistic manner, she is annoying as fuuuuck and I would use the same description for a guy)

Nah, she just becomes your house protector/companion thingy when you become Thane of Whiterun.

I've never met a chick that even seems like I could Marry her, yet. None of them have those kind of speech options. I don't even think I've become friends with anyone yet.

    Confused face.

And where the hell do I meet a Yeti? Do want.

You have to go talk to a certain priest and get a certain gold necklace, then ladies will literally just walk up to you and you can marry them if you so choose. No challenge, no courting, you barely have to know them.

Anywho, I'm going to sound like a major idiot in this thread, but I've never played an elder scrolls game and I want somebody to talk me into it. I do want, I just don't want to drop sixty dollars on it. Especially if I can't play it with my friends, whats the point of creating my own character and traveling through epic lands accomplishing epic deeds if the only people I have to share it with are computer programs? I want to be able to jump into my buddies world.

300+ hours of gameplay excluding the endless randomly generated stuff, so good price/time value

Immersive world with a ton of **** to do, every corner has a quest, every person has a backstory.

When it comes to sandbox games, this is the Sahara ****ing Desert.

The combat is insanely variable (swords, axes, bows, hammers, fire, frost, shock, allied creatures, and crazy dragon magic)

Overall the biggest appeal for the game for a non-RPG person is how much you are getting for $60. Would you rather see 6 movies in theaters spanning 12 hours or have something to do during down-time for months

The levels signify when shops start carrying that weapon/armor. You can't really put a level on when you will find "rare" equipment.

Stormcloaks seem to be jerks, but everyone of them I meet is nice. Everything I've read about them points towards them running every non-Nord out of Skyrim sometime after their quests are done. Imperials are jerks when you try to talk to them, but they at least seem to be trying to make everyone happy.

Is anyone in here trying a unique build? Builds that aren't warriors or destruction mages?

because I've no idea how to get enough money to buy a house... is it safe to say that my stuff won't disappear from this guys house if I did a nice thing for him and he is a "follower"?

I'm 99% sure your stuff won't disappear. And I've been making money by looting caves after raids and turn my ingredients into potions then selling everything.

the only place your items are guaranteed to not disappear are in your own home.

any other one and they'll disappear after a while
