haha man some of that stuff was amazing. they had to make sure you knew it was MULTIPLAYER GAMEPLAY so you didnt think those were just over-the-top scripted campaign clips. its gonna be legit

I know right? When I saw that my jaw literally dropped. I heard the single player wasn't that good in comparison to the rest of the game, but damn, I don't care as long as it looks like that.

I got to say that i didn't expect to even care for the campaign but that trailer got me hyped... once again... I saw a quick clip of them racing around time square NYC. so of course I'm excited to play in my backyard.

In comparison the new strike package trailer cam out for COD. I went in with open mind because ive kinda hopped aboard the BF3 bandwangon (not playing BF game since BF2). Wow did it suck.. it sucked so much i didnt even bother posting it. I felt like i was just watching MW2 again while BF3 levels look just amazing. yeah more of me dissing on MW3 even though i was huge fan of MW2 (explosives damage aside)

You know I have never really cared for Battlefields campaign, but that trailer looks insane. Seems like a step in the right direction, coming from the sitcom of a campaign that the Bad Company series had.

That was probably the best directed trailer I have ever seen.

Perfect trailer, I honestly was confused if I was looking at the game or IRL at some points.

And damn right its above and beyond a dead horse

The only things I noticed that havent been done in CoD already were the jets (obviously) and the hostage situation. Otherwise almost everything else was already in a CoD campaign.

Being captured and killed by terrorists
    Breaching doors
    Rappling through windows
    Gunning in jeeps/tanks
    Night-vision sniping
Having a gun aimed at me

Graphically on a whole 'nother scale, sure, but I dont feel so confident in what seems like an already-performed story.

Hands-on preview: Battlefield 3 could be a better CoD than CoD, but should it really try to be? , Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 Previews | GamesRadar

    Crawling through vents
Following a wire to find an objective
Having a battle interrupted by an earthquake
Blowing a huge hole in a building to kill a sniper
Pulling an injured squadmate to safety mid-firefight

And that's just from one trailer (Fault Line). There's really not much variation allowed with "realistic" shooters. And with CoD pooping out a game every year, sure, they are going to be the first to do a lot of things in campaign.

I don't really like the COD and BF campaigns. MW1&2 had some good parts to the campaign but it was still not very good. I haven't even started the blops campaign and a friend finished the WAW campaign when he was at my house. I played about 5 minutes of BF campaign before getting bored and going into rush. There's not much they can do with the campaign of those games, since you're just another soldier, not a "hyperlethal vector" even if you are in tf141 or Bad Company whatever, you're still human, not a spartan.

I was going to install the game regardless, but good lord, I feel bad for those that don't have a hdd. That is just awful. What's the point of having two discs if the campaign is going to look that terrible without an install?
