Angels vs Demons Demons are also known as the fallen angels, they have lived in the darkness for so long they have learned to sense the heart beat of others from a long distance so can sense angels much sooner. Demons are physically stronger due to living in such a harsh environment (hell is quite tough to live in afterall). This has also made demons more agile as they can't rely on flying anymore because their wings have been irreparably damaged when they fell from heaven. Angels have the gift of flight and they wear an enchanted breast plate that protects them from alot of harm courtesy of their maker. They can still sense demons but from a shorter distance and can never sense a slow moving demon. This battle takes place in Limbo, a place between heaven and hell that looks like earth only there are no human beings. A perfect battle ground for Angels and Demons to fight the eternal battle that god refuses to interfere with. In Heaven and Hell both Angels and Demons would never get tired no matter how much they fight or run, its known as the Hercules Complex. However in Limbo they no longer have this gift for long, Demons have unlimited sprint for about 5 seconds after re-spawning so use this time wisely to get to a strategic position. After the 5 seconds are up they can get tired as we normally do. If a Demon kills a Angel, he rips the Angels wings off turning them into a Fallen Angel until the round ends. -Angels Flight Overshield x2 50% melee damage Normal Motion Sensor 25m Forced color: White -Demons 300% melee damage Sprint 120% speed 150% jump height Enhanced Motion Sensor 75m Their shield has 90% regeneration rate but their health regenerates twice as fast. Forced color: Red -Both Starting Weapon=DRM Unlimited Ammo Headshot immunity Weapon Pickup enabled Weapon Set=No Power Weapons No vehicles or turrets 6 lives 6 rounds 6 minutes optional: If you turn on last man standing, then the last Angel will be given a sword made of out of pure light that is devastating against Demons.
When I got it I changed the Angels color to white and the last man standings color to gold. Do you have any maps for this gametype? I tried putting it on some of my levels but it didnt work well. Anyway I think if there is a map out there for this gametype then you need to put the Angel spawns high in the air. It is the best way for an Angel to spawn.
They've always been white. I was going to make maps for this, but I have been doing other things recently... During holiday break I think I will get into making maps enough people are interested.
Sure personally I have been working around trying to make a map based around "Hell," so perhaps i can make it capadable with this gametype (just for fun). and yes I like the gametype and would love to see some maps based around it.
I made a, what I thought was gonna be the COG Fountain from GoW 1 but I turned it into Saton's Battlefield. What I did was made the demons spawn in two small underground caves that have red lights and the Angels start on top. The Demons jump out and try to kill the Angels. But I think the Angels should have a diff weapon.
so remind me what is headshot immunity. does this mean that they still take damage but they don't get headshots?
Yep. I did that because I wanted the Demons to have more of a chance to win. And I didn't include power weapons, turrets or vehicles because its way to game changing when you get hold of one. Heh, both angels and demons take advantage of modern weaponry. I can see them having different tastes, I suppose you could add in different loadouts if you want.
Personally the only would recommend throwing in would be the concussion rifle for demons but that is just a personal suggestion. Man if only sentinal beams had returned in halo reach. They would make a great (searchlight) weapons for angels. However the fact that you made it balanced is great. I can't tell you how many times I have played a broken infection gametype. Great job.
