first they should include these things
    1 a movable object line
2 a rotaton for an object
3 a new set of special effects the ones they have are very boring and their cominations dont ussually come out seeable
4 more toys aka more land
5 block terraforming (a 10 by ten block with a type of land form in the middle or a part of a structure taht has more parts for almost infininte possibilities)
    6flowing water from a source
    7 placeable water that flows
add your ideas i will add them to the list

Forgeable trees would be nice. Also the ability to link objects together so 1 you can move them as one object and 2 it will cut down on FRL by only registering as one piece. Defiantly more palettes to work with and maybe even weather fx. Snow, desert, rain, dusk, ect. Just some ideas.

Lol, flowing water would be amazing, but the mechanics behind it would just cause so much of a headache its almost not worth it.

People just have to accept the fact that forge isn't going to be more than it already is.

A free flowing water engine (like in hydrophobia) is a lot to add to a game engine that won't use the feature much.

I think it'd be cool if they had troll face blocks that would fall out of the sky and crush people randomly during games.

Seriously though, I'd just like it if you had a choice between Forerunner themed color, Covenant themed color, and Human themed color schemes.

On a sort of related note, Does anybody in the world know what Covenant ships are made out of? Do they just paint pieces of metal purple or something?

They're made out of a substance called tetraniscopradoxide (Tet-rah-niss-cop-ra-dox-ide). It's not metallic in nature but it's extremely dense.

I want the 2x1, 3x1, 4x1, and 5x1 pieces to be giant Kit-Kat bars. This way, forgers can make maps less grey, as the vibrant orange will help spice up the map and supplement the blue water. Maybe you could even change the color of the wrapper! That would allow for even more color possibilities!

But aside from that, I'm content with forge.

    The ability to define "blocks".

Using the function from AutoCAD, a "block" is a set of elements defined by the user. This block can then used repeatedly as if it were a single object. You'd probably have to define the referrence point as well for the block, but that'd be trivial. To get a bit technical, all of the objects usable in Forge mode are already blocks; you don't have to create objects and from scratch by defining the polygons. The ability to create the proposed blocks would simply be the abilty to link them together to form a larger block.

Another AutoCAD function which would be useful would be the "Array". It comes in two varieties, grid and rotational (not sure what the last one is called exactly, but the term fits). Much like the block function, it allows you to select objects and create duplicates. The difference is that instead of simply linking those objects together, it makes the duplicates based off of what's already there; you also define where they go and how many. The easiest example would be "mirroring" a map (the simplest of grid arrays), though you could easily do a larger grid or a rotational array (duplicating the items around a circle, defining the centre-point and the angle between duplicates.

.... eh, screw it. Merge AutoCAD and Forge mode; give us the ability to truly create a map from scratch. Keep all the basics and defaults present in Forge mode for quick map building, but keep the deeper (and more complex) AutoCAD functionality for those of use who want to really break loose with the design. An unlimited budget would be nice as well.

You know what, let's go even further. Starcraft II's map editor is claimed to be so deep that, with enough time & dedication, a player could hypothetically create whole new game from scratch. Not just multiplayer maps, but whole new gametypes; possibly even a wholly new single player campaign. Turn Forge mode into this (while keeping the aforementioned merging with AutoCAD), and let the playerbase go nuts.

Am I going too far with this? How much further before it becomes raw game design?

So basically making a base design, saving it as a prefab or somesort and able to duplicate it as much as the budget allows?

If I have it right, then that would be an awesome way of makeing a symmetrical map. Or if your making a BTB map and don't like where the bases are later on, you can move it all with ease.

Combine this with the move tool as mentioned before, you can contruct your own covenant ship (or Pelican) and have it fly in on top of the Phase 3 drop point to grab the core in Invasion.

    Flowing water = unlikely.
    Water Effect = likely.
A moving water animation is much more likely to happen than actual flowing water. For example, take a waterfall and rotate it so that is looks like its flowing on the ground. Or even just water that sways like the water in forge world, just choose an area and it will be filled with a water or flowing water animation. But flowing water is very unlikely, has it ever been in a halo game? Not just the flowing water animation, actual flowing water

    Edited by merge:

Seats would be nice, just a little something to make more cinematic.
Seats include: standard sitting in a char position and, laying down in a sniper pose ready to snipe opponents from the ground.

Also, adding more vehicles with different versions, Falcon with seats; like in the campaign, Civillian warthogs.

Trucks-Trailers; the seat is you standing on a moving trailer without getting splattered ex. its like the trailer is standing still.

This, and more moveable items to make even more switches and more dynamic maps.

Ohhh. something that I've seen : dunno if you know the game ModNation on PS3, but there is an awesome system to make complicated switches.

And last : Well..This is not really forge, but ... More things to customise in Gametype would be cool too.

What Reach gives us would substantially better if the xbox could handle it.

The ability to create spouts of flame, smoke, pestilence fumes, and a few small effects would be nice.
