    Overview

This, my fellow Forgehubbers, is the AIS Dragoon. It's hefty, it's dangerous, and it's my first map that doesn't fall within the "Aesthetic" category.

If you're familiar with my last ship, the AIS Quintessence, I'm sure the first thing you'll notice is that the front half of the Dragoon is fundamentally the same, give or take a few details. Then, of course, the most prominent difference between the two is the ships rear half, which now has much more to offer in terms of space compared to its predecessor.

Anyway, my first objective when creating this map was to keep some of the more familiar aspects of the Quintessence while also giving it the look and feel of a warship (as opposed to the luxury ship that the Quintessence was). That said, it now boasts a larger hangar, more weapons, and bombards the island outpost with plasma batteries.

After many hours of play with a small group, it's become quite evident that this map is a blast to play on with some friends, but you can determine that for yourselves. :)

This nifty little flythrough will probably paint a clearer picture than my words though.

So that just about wraps it up! Thanks for taking the time to view my map, and I hope that you give it a DL and enjoy some customs on it.

Here's an amusing snippet. I had some time and recreated it with Legos.

Special Thanks to DanDaMan5555, Shark378, and XXXKill3r819 for playtesting the crap out of this map for hours on end! :) We had a very good time on this map, and hopefully that means that you'll have one too!

I am very impressed by these aesthetics, very good work and excellent dedication. The play space is bland, but with all the work sunk into the ship itself I can't complain. Very, very good work.

Damn dude! You've got a real knack for aesthetic ships. I remember the Quintessence and played on it a bit: I'm glad that you've shifted focus to making playable ships to go along with the beautiful aesthetics. With this done, you REALLY need to forge a massive-scale invasion map revolved around attacking different points on a frigate IMO.

Heck! He could make it an invasion map right now! Just set up invasion with the map! Have the attackers spawn at the outpost, fight across the beach, and make it to the portal. After that you could have a phase could be dedicated to bombing the ship.

The map is sick, especially since there's not only an outside to it but also a whole interior map with weapons and such inside of the ship.

I suggest you put the majority of your screenshots in a spoiler: right now people are scrolling down like crazy ;P
It's what I usually do when my post contains a lot of pictures
