    Generator Attack

Hello sirs. After a little but of an absence from Halo, I'd like to show you all a new game I have had in my head for awhile. Entitled Generator Attack, or GA for short, is based off of the Halo: Reach beta game Generator Defense. Though GA does have some differences worth noting. For one locking down the generators is no more. Instead you must kill the other team in order to protect your generator. This is counter-acted by the fact that the attackers must get in close to gain points by tripping a mine.

There are two generators, conveniently labeled '1' and '2'. Generator 1 scores one point, and generator 2 scores two points due to it being more easily defendable.

So much of the game's setting are not set in stone, but here are some tentative settings of GA.

-Games will consist of two rounds, 3 min. each.
-The mine at each gen. will respawn every 5 seconds, so the attackers can only score points every 5 seconds.
-The game will have the new bloom settings.
-Loadouts will have the AAs of Sprint, Jetpack, Hologram and Evade. Players will spawn with a DMR, AR and 1 Frag.

The map, Stockade, is specifically built for Generator Attack. I think games of GA will be best for around 10-12 players, possibly more. That's all for now on Generator Attack, expect more updates throughout the testing.

How did you get this kind of thing to work anyway, was it modded?

Cluck knows better than to post modded stuff. I assume the trip mine moves a golf ball or a flag (haloball or speedpile). Either one should have the same result.

Yeah I used HaloBall like pyro said. Since a golf ball was too big, I made a camping stool score the points.

this looks like it could be fun. the way each section is its own island reminds me of cod. moving from building through open areas to another building.

    a little too open though

So what gametype is it exactly? Is it an insane gametype or something else?

Alright, I've just never seen something like this before and I didn't want to get my hopes up for something that could crash my Xbox.

But since it's the real deal, this certainly looks like a really good map/gametype.

I've enjoyed GD and was disappointed that Bungie didn't allow no more then Four poeple to play it. (They sink for that)

This project certainly seems to have some very innovative goals for itself, and I hope to see full version up soon.

i think it would be cool if towards the middle or end of the game there will be a warthog and a ghost that spawn like a warthog for the defending team and a ghost for the attacking team that seems like it would be cool to me iv thought about doing a gametype like this but my mechanics were different and i would like to ask your permission to use your mechanics to make my map better?

Cluck, you always think up some cool ideas. Even if you don't finish it this and Scopeless are both great examples of what can still be done with the forge palette. If you do end up testing at ll or if someone else takes over send me an invite.

:( I was actually looking forward to this map. I loved GD in the beta and was severely disappointed when I found out it wasn't in the final game. (the FF version isn't the same)
