So, I just happened to be wandering through the godforsaken neighborhood known only as "Action Sack." As the countdown neared, I noticed a gametype called Splockets. I had a feeling that it's gameplay would consist of rockets and splasers, so I really just went for it. It won, and before I knew it, nearly everyone was jetpacking, constantly dropping rockets like pidgeons drop ****. Just when I was about to throw in the towel and head out, I happened upon a peculiar phenomenon. I was almost positive I had lasered a rocket out of the sky, and recieved assurance through the theatre capture. This is what I found -- As one would think, such an event causes quite a large explosion. Tolerate my overcomplicated writing. I have a LOT of time to kill at the moment.
Yeah, action sack has not reached its full potential, IMO. You'd think there would be an endless stream of gametypes they could use but it usually ends up being splockets or dino blasters. I use to play it a lot in Halo 3 because of Sumo Wrestling or whatever it was called, but now it just sucks.
Action Sack could be so much better than it is right now. Dodgeball and sumo wrestling (I think that's what it was) was a lot of fun in Halo 3, but everyone just voted team rocket or splasers. From the little I've played splitscreen online at my friend's place, that same happens- you only end up playing splockets and dino blasters.
That is absolutely epic, flamingo. I've shot down rockets with a banshee, but timing that with a splaser would be incredible. I don't think any of the playlists have reached their full potential. Action sack less than others, but that' why we have custom games after all.
That last pic looks like the interception of two kamehameha energy beams from DBZ. Awesomesauce. I suppose if you can shoot a grenade out of the air with a Sniper, you can shoot a rocket out of the air with a Splaser.
This has been around since Halo 3. It's just rare. Same with sniping grenades or rockets. I wonder what would happen if you tried to do the same thing, only with a plasma launcher? (Sniper/laser/rockets/GL/anything else vs. plasma launcher). Now that I'd like to see.
