Seriously, **** Jamaal Charles.i draft that prick in the first round, then he gets me 11 points across two games, then tears his ACL. I mean, its not his fault, but still.
Yea, he only threw for 400 yards again against the defending super bowl champions. The team has completely abandoned its superb running game to give him full control of the offense. No one has ever done what Cam Newton is doing, and if you knew anything about football, you'd see that. Im a huge Steve Smith fan (most under-rated WR in the NFL), but he still needs someone to throw to him. keep in mind, This offense threw for a measly 2289 yards and only averaged 12.2 points a game. in 2 games with Cam Newton they've thrown for 854 yards. Steve Smith? He had 534 yards all of last season and in only 2 games this season he has 334. The Panthers are preparing Cam Newton to be the offense, and he has performed very well w/o any running game. Even the elite quarterbacks give the ball off to a running back at least 10 times, and the Panthers RBs were only given 6 carries. 6 CARRIES! Cam Newton rushed more than 6 times, AND he attempted 48 passes. ROOKIES dont do that, especially in their first couple of games!. So stop hating.
Look around the league, Bows. All the quaterbacks, young and old alike, are having a field day throwing for hundreds of yards a game; you have sloppy defenses to thank for that. It's what happens when you have no off-season, and I'm surprised I even have to point that out. I don't hate the guy, I'm just saying that he's being overrated.
Well that Bears game was pitiful, if it weren't for Forte there wouldn't be an offensive game today. Otherwise, if you ignored last weeks game, today's offensive line looked exactly like almost every game last year. Seriously, even though Jay Cutler gets his ass chewed out from everyone in existence, I feel sympathetic for him. For the O-line to let the defense through so many times to him is just obnoxious. Also, it's really screwed up that the only touchdown that should have had a review didn't get one, when every touchdown needs to be reviewed now...wtf
...Well I'm sure no one expected two back to back 400 plus yard passing games from him so I'd say underrated in that regard. Not that it makes much a difference having lost both games because of the imbalances in defense and in the running game. Eagles defense again struggled against the run and lost that game when Vick went down.
I'm glad the Falcons won; the Eagles are another team that's getting a lot of hype this year, and I don't care for them to begin with.
It had nothing to do with that and i wonder if any of you watched the game or even understand the game. The Panthers drove down the field on the Packers with relative ease. The problem was in the red zone, where even elite QBs can struggle. Also, I don't think you realize how hard it really is to not rely on a running game at all. The Panthers are preparing him to run this offense like an elite QB, not like a rookie who manages the offense handing it off to their RBs 40 times. It's brilliant. You're right about defenses being sloppy throughout the league, but the rest is wrong. Not many QBs are capable of throwing for 400 yards 2 weeks in a row, let alone against the Packers. Drew Brees did it the week before, but he is a top 5 QB who has been in the league for a while and has a ring. There are 7 QBs averaging 300 yards in the league, ( 10 if you include the 3 within 10 yds) and the second youngest, Stafford, has been in the league for a few years. Last year, Sam Bradford broke the rookie record for completions and only averaged 219 yds per game. I just don't understand how you're not impressed, so I'm going to assume you're just hating.
It's not wrong, nearly all of them are throwing higher than average. There's already talk of breaking Marino's passing record in Week 2. Week 2. Again, I never claimed he sucks. It's actually nice to see a top-pick QB that hasn't bombed like Leinart or Young, but it's far too early to jump on Cam's bandwagon the way so many already have, yourself included.
Detroit totally raped the Chiefs last night 48-3! 16-0 WOOOO!!! Also, gonna be watching Detroit vs Patriots sometime this season on Monday Night Football, in University of Massachusetts. I'll be the only Lions fan XD
To be fair, they have a lot of injuries. That said, I'm actually excited for the Lions. I wouldn't mind rooting for them along with the Texans as side teams because I like some of their players, and I could tell they were on the verge of real success last season.
Eagles... how the hell do you fall apart against the 49ers? 23-3 at halftime and we lose 24-23. Can't score a SINGLE POINT in the second half. ****.
Houston tends to have the same problem from game to game, but it was great to see them win, especially against the Steelers.
I swear, all of our touchdowns need to be 21 yards or more. When we get in the red zone, we completely fall apart. It's due to awful play-calling as well. There was one time this season where we had 1st and Goal from the 1 and failed to score a TD because we ran it straight up the middle 3 times. Apparently Houston dominated that game, regardless of the score. That's what I heard at least.
Frankly, I never liked Philly, but I'm glad to see them failing after all the hype they've received this year.
