If everyone sniped, no one would ever win because Rush is an objective game. Snipers don't win Rush games. Sure, maybe you can validate having one or two to thin out the enemy crowds, but unless you're willing to rush in to arm/disarm an objective, you're not benefiting your team in the long run.
thats not what i mean, what i mean is how most games like this seem to just turn into a game of "who can find the best little spot in the corner to hide in." i noticed a TON of activity like this already, even from only playing for a short amount of time. i realize that as people learn the maps, this type of behavior usually shifts and changes over time, as people find new, more sneaky places to hide themselves/camp. sure, you can say its just a part of the game and i should stop sucking and adapt to it. but really, i just dont want to. this is not my style of play.
Is anyone else having trouble signing in to battlelog? Whenever I try it says "Your account is not allowed to login". Edit: nevermind, I had to sign in with my old windows live account.
SVD/Mark11 with no scope is amazing, it kinda feels like a FAL. UMP is amazing, just like in MW2. SV98 is hardcore sniper rifle, meaning im not very good with it... yet. I also wish that all the gadget works... those UGPS or whatever look cool. The game is good the beta matchmaking is horrible. But overall a squad of 4 can really run a game with mobile spawn points and balance of classes. P.S. 1 level away from unlocking EOD robot.
Is the EOD robot in the beta? For some reason I thought that they were not including that in the beta
I played for like 5 games and did not like it one bit. The outdoor area completely sucked. The tunnels were a bit more enjoyable but still not fun. Not my kinda game I guess.
Enjoying it so far. This was a game that I prolly wasn't gonna get, but now it is becoming more and more likely. Sniping is boss. Another cool thing you can do is make automatic guns single shot by pressing down on D-Pad
I feel it is a good game but not particularly memorable, I cannot recall one fun moment had whilst playing this beta, but I know I did enjoy and detested the experience so much.
Hey, ive noticed many of the glitches you all have, but have any of you had the texture mask that goes over your screen when you are respawning, that washed out blue thing, carry over into the game, It does that for me about every other respawn. Awfly annoying, and oh.... I cancelled my preorder.
LOL. besides the obvious glitches, this was really refreshing. Once I got to know the map and got some mechanics of the game down, It was cash. only real issue is my tv isn't amazing so its hard to make people/text out on the screen.
I have my TV running at 1080p, so I never have trouble with seeing people or text. Once you learn the maps, and the spawns, and the general flow, the gameplay becomes really solid. Aside from some seriously annoying bugs, it's really fun. However, I really don't think the sides are balanced. The american starting weapons feel so much better than the russians.
I just want to say that most of the snipers camping in bushes are all COD players and never played a bf before... How do I know i decided to go into peoples gamer cards if they bushed sniped me. 9 out of 10 never played a battlefield. So when retail comes out and they just cant download it for free im assuming they will just go play COD and be bush wookies there. p.s. dont flame me i enjoy both game and playstyles i just prefer a slower more methodical game in bf3 cause im old and my reflexes arent as twitchy as they yse to be.
I find that hilarious, especially since many of them ore doing so over issues that will be non-existent in the final game.
If you cancel your pre-orders for a game in BETA stage, you don't deserve to play the final release. >.< People are stupid.
Hopefully the Beta will get all the complainers and jerks to not get the game so the rest of us can have fun without listening to people rant on how bad the game is. I found the beta very fun, especially loving I can choose if my gun is full auto or semi-auto. I have been wanting this since the PS2 era.
The Beta being fail, game being amazing is awesome because it got rid of all the COD nubs from ruining BF3. MW3 day 1 is going to me a noob killing fest and BF3 will become less laggy lol
I really hate how much space ribbons, unlocks, and dogtags take up on the screen. Multiple times I've been killing a group of enemies when the combat efficiency ribbon pops up and gets me killed because I can't see. If I'm killing fast enough sometimes even the points scored for killing enemies stacks up enough to obstruct my view. The only gun I really use is the first sniper because I can know when I landed two shots and the person is dead rather than waiting to see the body fall or the points pop up. That and the bullet spread for hip firing a sniper rifle is minimal which is awesome after using the M21 silenced in MW2. I'm not too confident in the glitches being fixed in the final release so I'll probably wait to play it as a friend's house before buying. I just hate fighting the game in addition to the enemies. [br][/br]Edited by merge: I completely agree about sniping, but I haven't had the same luck with controls and responsiveness. The controls are good, but the responsiveness is probably the worst I've seen in a game.
