    Summary

    Hi again forgers,

    recently I have been working on a new project called 'bygone', it’s been a pretty big project with a fair few hours put into it, by myself and people who have helped me test it. In the end it turned out to be a really nice map and makes for a great and fun competitive map.

    The map itself is located up in the 'pocket' area of forge world. I used up that whole area and also added a bit off the edge of the cliff for the man-cannon that takes you back to the centre of the map. They also have several teleporters that help you get back onto the higher levels of the map, the main walkway. In all, there is 8 teleporters, or 4 sets, 1 set in each base (2 bases - Red/Blue) and on the edge of the main 'walkway' area of the map (to each of the sides). these teleporters sets consist of one sender and one receiver node each (instead of the 2-way teleporters), this is so that you can simple get back up to the higher levels of the map without having to take a long detour back up.

    The centre of the map has 2 levels, ground and mid level.
    The bases have 3 levels, top level, mid level and lower level.
    Walkways link them together.

    The centre of the map is round and has 4 walkways that come off a link back to each base. These are the main walkways used. The centre of the map has been said to remind people of asylum. I did not use asylum as a base model of my map, I made it from scratch, however, asylum did give me some ideas (like the needlers placed on the blocks). The centre of the map also has much different game-play compared to asylum (much more action and flow-points leading to it) and also was a platform in the centre that you land on when you go up the man-cannon.

    the bases have ladders that take back up to the top level with perfect smoothness, these are helpful for objectives like assault, were the goal is inside the enemies base on the mid level. To go down levels in each base you typically just drop down through the openings placed on each level, to get back up there is a teleporter on the bottom level that takes you up the top level again. This adds more time to object game-types, allowing players on the opposite team more time to stop them.

    2 x DMR's - 3 spare clips - 45 sec respawn time
    4 x Neddler Rifle's - 2 smare clips - 40 sec respawn time
    2 x Plasma Pistol's - 2 spare clips - 20 sec respawn time
    2 x Plasma Repeater's - 2 spare clips - 30 sec respawn time
    2 x Shotgun's - 2 spare clips - 60 sec respawn time
    2 x Grenade Launcher's - 3 spare clips - 60 sec respawn time
    2 x Sniper rifle's- 2 spare clips - 90 sec respawn time
    2 x Needlers - 2 spare clips - 30 sec respawn time
    1 x Rocket Launcher - 2 spare clips - 120 sec respawn time
    8 x Plasma grenades - 15 sec respawn time
    4 x Frag grenades - 30 sec respawn time

    This map has made for many hours of fun game-play for myself, and those who have helped me test it, and i hope you find it just as fun to play on.

    Did you notice that the 8x Plasma Grenades have 2 extra clips?

    This kind of looks like atom, a map in the snipers playlist. It has a red and blue base on each side of the map, but you have a different center.

    i guess it sorta looks like it, you have a point :p with all the walkways, and the grav lift. i actually didnt even remember what atom was, a haven't played on it for bloody ages, i had to look it up then to download it and see. but if you actually play on Bygone its nothing like it. i guess its a mix between asylum and atom in looks :) have an in game look at it though, you'll be surprised at how different it actually is :p
