No. Hemmhorage is a mix of both blood gulch and Coagulation. But this created a map that was much less friendly to infantry and wasn't very fun. Blood Gulch perfectly mixed infantry combat with vehicluar combat while providing a mulitplayer experience that resonated with a lot of people. Hence it's popularity.
yah it is... it's just not an exact replica. That's like saying the new Beaver Creek isn't a remake because it has new pathways. You're wrong and you're trying to be contrarian. If you don't know what contrarian means, google it.
The new beaver creek is a remake but with things added to it to improve gameplay. Hemmhorage is NOT a direct remake of blood gulch, but a mix of both blood gulch and coagulation.
Almost every map has already received a great remake. A better thing to do would be remaking a map from another game OR forging an inspired map instead. If you want any suggestions for what other games you could remake maps from, PM me. I have plenty of ideas for you.
Coagulation is a reimagining of Bloodgulch. People! You are not all cool because you think you're different. Coagulation and Hemorrhage are based on the same original design, Bloodgulch. Stop being 15 year old douches.
Burial Mounds, Ice Fields, Death Island, Desolation, Gephyrophobia, Waterworks, Longest and Gemini are Maps i haven't seen yet.
I've been working on a map that replicates the Dam segment of the Sierra 117 campaign map from Halo 3.
Someone doesn't understand map design all that well. Blood Gulch and Coag were HUGELY different in terms of map design. There were a number of differences between both maps. That counted with the fact that Hemmorhage is also about 75% bigger than both doesn't help. Hemmorhage was a..reimagining of Blood Gulch. It had a few of the features, sure, but it was nowhere near as good. Just like Coag was nowhere near as good. That being said, Coag was an amazing map too. Valhalla kinda got it right, though. Out of all the reimaginings and remakes, Valhalla played the best, IMO.
Coag. and Hemorr. are reimaginations of Bloodgulch. No matter how many times you say otherwise, you're wrong. No matter how many people tell me to stop arguing or disagree with me, you're still wrong, and so are the people that agree with you. If I were to ask anyone at Bungie, or anyone at 343, if Coag. and Hemorr. are reimaginations of Bloodgulch they would look at you and say: 'um, yes. yes there are. as you can see in these pictures, their design is heavily inspired and reminicent of Bloodgulch. We wanted to remake and slightly alter the original design.' I guarantee this. Why are you so against it? you're lying to yourself hipster. To me reimaginings are maps like Avalanche which is pretty much a redesigned version. Coagulation and Hemorrhage are just slightly altered versions of Blood Gulch in comparison. I think the same goes for Timberland although I can't say that with 100% certainty as we haven't had a good look at it yet.
Coagulation and Hemorrhage weren't "Slightly altered"versions of Blood Gulch. If you compare them, they are completely different and not reimaginings.
Coagulation was a reimagining of Blood Gulch, yes. But Hemmhorage is a map meant to take the shape and bases of Blood Gulch and combine it with the rocky areas and vehicular firepower of Coagulation. Even Bungie confirmed that it was aa mix of Blood Gulch and Coagulation. Now, CookieJay, please stop this stubborn trolling and lets get back the the point of this thread. What map should i remake?
