does anyone know any good minecraft house design forums/wikis? been looking all over but i cant find a decent one.
Youtube? or visit random servers and think of stuff.. don't mean to be an ass but you're generally not going to find stuff on that, at least i think
Ok so I'm going to write the next part of the story after I eat lunch and send those who asked me to the beta build. And Garret, I will.
Those guys are insane. They do a weekly live-stream build, usually some big ass, awe-inspiring creation. **** ranging from a Wild West town to a floating island/village in the sky.
yeah, I know. Building it is a pain in my ass, good thing I don't have a social life or something to get in the way.
I DO. LOL. But i just realized the version i released to them for beta 1.2 has some redstone ****ed up and it won't let you do part of the story...woops.
lol, redstone is my bane, I would have to have someone do that for me if I wanted anything complex done. I can pretty much only do a basic double piston door, and thats it.
I'll make sure to make all my walls 3 thick then so you or someone else can run redstone wiring where they need to.
well, if anything there is always the ability to run it under the floor, there is plenty of room there, I'll just have to make sure that I have obsidian covering anything that is likely to be exposed due to creeper explosions or tnt. On a redstone related note: how could one make a switch to use pistons to turn the lights on in an area? (either pushing glowstone or pulling something out of the way or whatever) I intend on having part of the adventure map be getting to a power room or something where you can turn the power on and all the lights that would have previously been off, would now been turned on, allowing you to find your way back much easier. (I am going for a kind of mysterious journey through an abandoned underground city [for now until NPC's or until I find a good mod for NPC's or something])
You won't be ahving one of these then Minecraft Programmable Piano - YouTube As to your lights issue that is easy, just have the pistons pull down a block in the wall along the floor of the room. Behind that block is lightstone. piston extended light is block. Flip switch, piston lowers, light is on. After that it's just extending the redstone to wherever you want a light and switch.
Two disappointments today. 1: Zeppelin mod used on sail-boats leaves their impression in the water when stopped. It makes sense that it would, I just hadn't thought about it. 2: Super-awesome reflective water mod makes minecraft unplayable for me.
