I only read Destructoid articles when linked to them, and i'm pretty glad I found this: Cliffy B 'upset' by hateful 8/10 Gears of War 3 reviews -Destructoid
I can understand where Cliffy B is coming from. If Gears 2 got a better score than Gears 3, he assumes that people thought it was a bad game because... Gears 2 was a bad game. Gears 3 is an amazing game in my opinion. More fast-paced and no host bullshit. Also, the new new Beast mode, improved Horde mode, campaign and unlock system are enough to make me buy it. However, I loved the multiplayer and the achievements are always fun too.
It's misplaced, prideful anger. It might be a better game than Gears of War 2, I wouldn't know. I know it's not 2008 anymore though. I sure as hell know arguing with a reviewer's score makes you sounds like an arrogant ****-sure ****. It's pathetic that GOW3 getting an 8/10 could be considered controversial in the first pace, as though each reviewer has the exact same rating scheme, or the exact same experience, or an infallible equation has already decreed that the game is perfect in every aspect.
I just had the craziest dream... me and a partner just managed to get out of a dungeon and after traveling over some plains made it to a new town. while shopping around, getting health packs i heard from the townspeople that there was a dragon in the area. I got worried, so i gear up and go find my partner. once I find him, he's looking straight into the eyes of this small dragon, but he didnt have a sword. he had a bong in one hand. He took a hit and offered a hit to the dragon. the dragon agreed, and as he was enjoying the THC my partner snapped the dragon's neck. I was shocked it worked, but relieved. but we hear some more screaming in the town square, we rush over there. Another dragon, slightly bigger just ate 2 townsfolk. my partner does the same technique, and it works. I started wondering where these dragons were coming from, so i looked around the border of the town, longsword in hand. I find this little hole about 50 meters away from the nearest house, and I saw like 12 baby dragons in there. I rushed back to my partner, told him "We're leaving", but he was starting to enjoy his weed, instead of saving it for possible future use. but then one of the baby dragons snuck up on him and ripped off his head. I slowly picked up his bong, took a hit, and offered one in the same style my partner did. the dragon obliged, but then I realized I had a Barrett 50 cal on my back. i switched to it, blasted the dragon to smithereens. Didnt have time to enjoy the kill, as I heard more screams in the town square. I climb up to the closest tall building, and see the baby dragons killing townsfolk left and right. I start doing work on them with the barrett, but soon the mother dragon comes soaring in overhead. I didnt see it coming, what with me being scoped in, taking out baby dragons. she landed behind me and ate me whole. and then I woke up.
Halo Reach got 7/10s and below, and Bungie didn't say a word. But to be fair, Reach did get a shitton more perfect scores.
