Vesuvius Research Facility

    This map takes place on a dying volcanology research facility, as represented by the name.

    As the volcano around the facility begins to erupt, the facility begins to die. I used the use of red lights around the map to signify malfunction. I would also suggest caution when using the Man Cannons, as you have about a 25% chance of it over or undershooting you into the lava. This was something I originally planned to fix, but I think it fit the theme of a malfunctioning and dying facility.

    I used an overly complicated teleporter system invovling gravlifts and "ziplines". I like it more because it allows for combat, even during teleportation. It gives it an interesting twist.

    nice map i don't usaully like maps with juicy effect on but on this map it looks great i like the overall look of the map an idea for the map would be have fusion coils going off in the killballs to make it look like it's exploding

    gonna give this map a download and try it out. i like the tunnels, but im concerned with the use of glass, fx, and light; your might get frame rate issues.

    I agree with you on both, but I really wanted to make the map a bit darker, and brighter, so I combined it with Next Gen, which sort of lowers the saturation and darkens it. As for the fusion coils, I am out of budget.

    Those KBs are going to play havoc on the framerate...

    For all those asking, I haven't noticed anything wrong with the frame rate. But don't take my word for it, downloaded for yourself and see. And then admire its awesomeness. Seriously, download it.

    good map this looks like it would probably be good 4v4 or free for all based on the pics

    The tunnels with glass on the side look pretty cool. For all your frame rate issues, I suggest taking out the glass, and use naturals. For the killballs, Put a hard kill, then add spikes at the bottom to signify for the players not to go down there. It's your map, if you want it to keep a volcano effect, keep it how you want. Just giving feedback..

    Nice map:)
    I would change your spawns though. Looks like when you spawn on top you walk directly in the lava just 3 feet away.

    i would rethink the lava, perhaps shields with kill volumes instead, as for the frame rate, have you tried running this with split screen?, thats were the engine really gets wrecked.
