Yeah... those guys are really nasty looking. Like old grandpa nasty. Sticking with a Dino. Dinos are awesome. I so want to play this game already, REACH and BLOPS are losing my interest very quickly...
Meh. At least the PC will have mods, the DLC will come to Steam eventually... -Khajiits get a claw attack bonus for unarmed attacks. -Armor and weapons do not degrade. -Dragon souls are absorbed automatically. -No height slider/adjustment. -There is a weight slider. -New HD gameplay video coming soon.
^Which is a goodish thing. Not really sure what to think about no degrading. Maybe it's a good thing. Actually, it probably is, I'll just have to wait and see for myself.
yeah i always thought the degrading was pretty dumb. armorer was such a waste of a skill so you just had waste time taking your **** to get it repaired.
.. Or carrying repair hammers, which in itself was a pretty inactive task. The player can use furnaces and anvils now. My guess is that in place of armour repair we have weapon (and maybe armour) improvements. It's been quoted many times that you can sharpen your blade and whatnot. Maybe this effect wears off after a while. Degradation in itself
You mean the 30 minute one? Yea I saw it but all the videos were deleted. if i remember correctly, and i apologize if you guys already know this, each skill is it's own perk tree providing a choice of perk and path for each excelled level, and that NPC's now have jobs that you can do as well; such as wood cutting (punching trees, much?), and as you already know, smithing. [br][/br]Edited by merge: You're off by about 300 lbs and 50 years.
The smithing skill would probably still fall under the Armorer skill. Didn't know that armour (yes, armour ) doesn't degrade anymore. That's a shame, because it was one of the easiest skills to boost. Enter dungeon. Find door. Lure rat or similar lower level enemy to said door. Equip healing spell. Let enemy attack to degrade armour. Enter door. Repair armour. Re-enter door. Rinse, repeat. Guess Ill have to level up the old fashioned way, now.
there were plenty of easier skills to level grind than armorer. illusion and conjuration were cake, just keep casting the same spell while you run around and do your thing. heavy armor/light armor were easy, just do what you said for armorer. sneak was pretty easy, just find someone sleeping (i usually used armand christoff or one of the beggars, depending on the time of day) and sneak while walking into a wall next to them. Alchemy was really easy, at least if you used the dupe glitch. just dupe ingredients and keep making the same potion. i got to lvl 100 in like 10 minutes.
Xun, your point is Invalid, because there's a different levelling system now. Apparently which isn't related to boosting your skills.
im fairly certain you still level with skill increases, but increasing a higher skill will now be more beneficial to a level increase, since there are no major/minor skills. So its beneficial to level up a few skills than be all over the place. its also better for perks to just focus on a core set of skills.
Every skill can be farmed, it's just the matter in which it is farmed and the result that has changed.
Apart from being an easy skill to farm, it also added a bit of believability to the game. Armour gets damaged, you must repair it. Im guessing you'll still have to repair your weapons when they get used constantly, so it kinda doesn't make sense to remove repairing armour. It doesn't worry me that much, but I guess I had to make a point of it because you asked what the point of my comment was. True, there is a different leveling system now, but skills still get leveled up from use. Im guessing you gain levels from cumulative skill levels or something similar to Oblivion. Im not 100% on what the new leveling system is, so I won't comment further, Ill just wait until the game comes out.
Where can I find these cool content expanding mods everyone is talking about? Just want to be prepared for it.
No, for Skyrim when it comes out. I decide to bump the thread again like an uber bawss and I brought 3 new 5-30 min videos (They just came out today) because I'm a cool guy like that. Your welcome broski's Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Gameplay Demo Part 1 [HD] - YouTube Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Gameplay Demo Part 2 [HD] - YouTube Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Gameplay Demo Part 3 [HD] - YouTube They pumped me up so much that now I'm deciding not to watch any more gameplay so as not to spoil it for myself so I don't go off food for a few weeks (Again)
There are no mods for the game. Sure people will be making resources, like models of weapons and armour, but we have no idea how the creation kit will handle content, so we have to wait until release to work out the best methods. ^ And that video will be one of the last pieces of official content we will see before release, so i wouldn't worry. Bethesda are quite sparing with their marketing strategies.
