I've done some light googling but haven't really found much on the subject other than: will the game have it? I lightly searched FH and didn't see any threads solely dedicated to the subject. I could have missed that though. So, does anyone know? Will Halo Anniversary have a Forge mode? When you know or have any news on the subject please post it here. I really am stoked to find out anything. I just saw the videos in the Halo Anniversary thread for the first time today. I can't ****ing wait for this game.
To my admittedly slim understanding, H:A will be downloadable for those who have reach, sorta "attaching onto" the Reach stuff to provide the new campaign. If that is the case, and I'm not sure if it is, then it should have the same forge stuff. For those who dont have reach, they can get it on disc(?)
The CEA maps will have Forge capabilities. What I'm really curious to know is how Forge-friendly those maps will be. Hopefully, they'll be around the standards of Tempest.
that one big huge map from Halo PC, the one that looks like a forest, that map should make for good Forge levels i'd imagine, if you can Forge.
Each map will be forgeable, but there's no new forge mode. Basically, we're all hoping that Timberlands or Hang em High are new forge-world style maps. That's what I'm hoping, at least.
Well, so was Foundry. Anyway i'd have to agree with pyro; H: CEA being a two-disc game with the campaign on one and, essentially, Reach without the campaign on the other (including the new maps, which will be DLC either immediately after or soon after the release date).
i still dont understand. what does Foundry have to do with forgeworld? when i think of forgeworld i think of Bloodgulch or Sidewinder, not Foundry or Hang Em. don't get me wrong, i love Hang em, but i dont understand why you guys think those levels, of all, might point to a new forgeworld
I think they think that because it would be terribly easy to build Hang 'em High outside of new forge objects inside a blank box, similar to the default layout of Foundry. It's also, I think, the anniversary map we know the least about so far, so people are indulging in some speculation.
Well, Bungie provided us with a new forgespace with Tempest, so it's not unheard of. Plus, they've kept Hang 'Em High from the public eye, so it suggests that they're hiding something.
Just to clarify something that, I think, BT said earlier, CEA, including all the multiplayer stuff, is on one disc only. And the maps will be available to download later for those who don't want to buy CEA.
Now tell me that doesn't look Forgable. It's only concept art, but it's probably the closest thing to looking like a new Forge area.
Thats not concept art. It was from the VidDoc. Its just bad quality cos its only a screen capture of the video.
