Minecraft Thread

Its a fine amount considering Minecraft is an indie game and still in beta.

 

This game is still in BETA, I hope you realize.

i know but for a game that has 3 million players and 11 million registers its a bit dissapointing that the quality for 1.8 is currently not very good.

But i know that most if not all of the bugs will be fixed by the release tommorow.

 

Well duh. It was LEAKED. And just like any game that's leaked before it's finished, there are going to be problems and bugs. It's not disappointing, it's just logically correct.

 

regardless of the amount of players, its an indie game thats in beta, there WILL be bugs.

 

all i have to say...
too many abandoned mines, giant mushrooms are stupid, endermen are cool, skellies are invincible underwater, the villages/strongholds AMAZING, and glass and iron bars are ok but takes away feel of minecraft.

 

I havent personally tried it yet, still skeptical, but from the yogscast videos and captain sparkles video of it I think it looks fine.

 

Wouldn't it be coming out of his fingers? I've always wondered how to say something like "I heard about it on the internet," you don't "Hear" about it, you read.

i wish you could stick pistons to pistons. notch really needs to make it happen.

 

you mean, you wish you could have a sticky piston pull a sticky piston back and have that piston still be stuck to its block its stuck to, right?

 

Yes, that way you could place 100 of them horizontally to the ground and wire them up correctly, you could 'punch' somebody from across a continent with your giant, robot, piston arm thing.

Or recreate the weird, 'wonka-vator' type thing from theMagrathea scene in The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy movie.

 

I need an idea for something to build in my Modern History course tomorrow, halp

I'll probably have loads of problems running it on this piece of crap laptop anyway, but then again...

 

made a prototype for a piston water bridge (using no gravel or sand)

i cant get the switches to oppose each other D: - one has to be off for the other to work

 

are you using water and lava to make cobblestone, then pushing that out?

I can't find villages or strongholds...Or abandoned mines anywhere.

I found a few fissures, they were pretty badass. Haven't seen any endermen either.

And I have the "Spawn structures" or whatever it is option ticked, so I'm kind of curious why I can't find anything.

 

sounds like you fail.... i had to look up a stronghold but as for the abandoned mines i can't not find them and as for villages i had a lucky seed i think it was "world" it was like 50 blocks away with far on you could see it
