I really enjoy building more than the survival aspect. I like being creative, and killing mobs isn't creative.
So the 1.8 update has been leaked and these tweets confirm that Notch is fine with people playing it. In the spoiler is the download. I got it from here which I feel is a pretty reputable source. I haven't had any problems yet, at least. I'm warning you, though, so don't blame me if something goes wrong. Spoiler http://assets.minecraft.net/1_8-pre/minecraft.jar Edit: The menu is ****ing amazing.
Don't like it. He got rid of the toggle for fog/render distance. And running it on my new computer is like running 1.5 on my old computer. As in slow as ****. Not gonna be happy if I can't play it until I can update my computer. Again.
Yeah, it does run a but choppier on my computer, but I do have a shitty computer. And going into the menu to change render distance doesn't take THAT long...
Yep I'm going to press escape to change my render distance to get rid of lag that is making it hard to run away from that creeper.... Seriously if people are that upset about the key for it being so close to movement keys why not just remap it to a different one? Like K or some ****.
It's up on the MC forums. SMP is has several lag spikes for some reason. Like it's running perfect then like for 2 or 3 seconds it's at like 1 fps.
Nope I'm on it lol home don't do it. Don't do it. " oh **** it's teleporting"! On topic. I found you can move the 1.7.3 world to 1.8 with no problem. Singleplayer or multiplayer.
Yeahthis. It's been officially recommended by Mojang that servers and single player players alike generate new worlds for 1.8 to be super effective. but just like any other update that altered the generation code, not necessary to experience.
Here is something that happened to my friend in 1.8 (leaked alpha testing) on single player. He woke up one morning to find that some cobblestone parts of his house were missing. Looking just over the horizon, he saw a makeshift hut out of dirt and cobblestone. Clearly, this is the endermens doing. but thats not all. the next (minecraft) day, he crossed the horizon again and found that a stone house was under construction along with a giant glass case. Also, some more parts of his house were gone. I told him to test some things so he planted a tree and placed an empty chest in the middle of knowwhere. The following morning, a sign was missing from his house. He went over the horizon again and found that the tree he planted was turned upside down and the chest contained 2 pistons, a set of shears and 4 iron ingots. Not only that but he found the sign inside one of the houses and written on it was the words,"gnihctaw erew". Reversed, it says,"Were watching." Also, the glass case was finished and inside it was a living creeper. He returned the following morning with a shock discovery. Another glass case had been constructed and inside of it was a Ghast. Also, a flag had been constructed out of wool, obsidian and fences. Unfortunately, the world crashed shortly after and was deleted. You can call me a liar but i know that it is true.
Woah! I didn't realize that extensive of coding was put forth for the endermen! Neat! >.> All of this happened and you have no proof. Mmhmm.
